Woke up this morning to a light coating of ice and more coming down. Weather dude says a few more hours of this and then temps will warm up. I hope they are right - I hate ice!

It's already warmer here... just plain old rain falling from the sky. Not much of it, though. Hope you warm up soon.

Just heard that it will ice tonight and for and during tomorrow's am commute. Lovely. Just freakin' lovely. And it's teacher work days Mon and Tues.

Sounds like perfect days to stay HOME!

We are covered in ice here too. Supposed to turn to rain later today then warm up Monday & Tuesday to around 40 then snow. Such weird weather this year. We've only had maybe 3 inches of snow total this season

I hope all of you who are getting ice stay safe.

My son goes to schoool in South Bend, Indiana and it looks like they are going to get hit with the ice. I'm glad we got him a heavy coat for Christmas and insisted he take it back to school with him. He tried to convince us he'd be fine with the light-weight jacket he's always worn when it turned chilly in Houston.

PLEASE for those that have ice, be safe if you have to go out. That stuff is scary.

That's what we are suppose to be getting. At the moment nothing is hitting the ground but it is very gloomy outside. Then either Monday or Tuesday it may be 60 with Wednesday and the rest of the week being in the teens.

We got it too, church was cancelled this morning. I hate ice! I'd rather have a foot of snow the a 1/4 inch of ice!

You know you live in LA when.... you see the word ICE and think immigration, not weather.

I don't know how you peas with "real" weather do it!

I live in California. When I read your title, I thought you meant you were woken up by ICE - Immigration and Customs Enforcement!

I do not like ice storms! They are beautiful, but dangerous!

Ice Ice Baby. That came to mind and I had to say it. Now the song is stuck in my head. Wrap yourself in a warm blankie and scrap or do something you enjoy inside w/hot cocoa at your side.

HAHA! Nope, we're all legal round here.

It's warmed up a bit now and everything seems to have melted. Now they are saying rain for the next few days and even thunderstorms possible. WUT? It's February, it's suppose to snow, not rain! Damnedest weather ever.

And, of course, also being in St. Louis, we did not have any ice even on our driveway. It was raining a bit, but that is all. I am looking forward to the 60s for the next two days, but I wish we would have some sun! I don't think we are going to get enough to help the river levels.

I don't like ice either (in fact, I don't like winter period!) but I do like the fact that school was cancelled because of the ice which meant I didn't have to go to work today. Yay me

Hope everyone stayed safe today!

You guys must be getting the ice we had last Thursday and Friday. Makes for fun (not really) on the driveways and sidewalks. Not so much on the commutes. Our schools had a 2 hour delay last Friday because a school bus full of kids was in an accident. Scary! Everyone be safe!

Today we woke up to a good 4 or 5 inches of snow for the second day in a row. I only commute about two miles in the morning (more in the afternoon when I pick up the kiddos) and it took me a good 20 minutes. Saw lots of people stuck in the piles the plows leave. I'm glad I have 4WD this winter! Helps a bit in the snow, not so much on the ice.

SO ready for this winter to be over!!

Scoobers- Have to love St. Louis weather. We go from ice Sunday, to mid-70's & possible Tornadoes Tue., & back down to the 20's for highs.

I get antsy with Tornadoes around, but the weather this morning warned of straight line winds to. After an experience a couple summers ago, those terrify me. Seriously thought our house was coming down, it felt like we were in an Earthquake it was shaking so bad.

It was a micro-burst from Hell, it only effected 5 houses in our cul-de-sac. We're all out the next morning fixing roofs, cutting up trees that came down, & the neighbors up the street didn't feel a thing.
