Hi all
My little family of three is planning a trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in July. Anyone been before and can give us suggestions about a good cabin to stay in or a good cabin rental company. What are some fun things to do there. We have a 6 year old. Thanks so much.

We could do a one or two bedroom.

Most of the cabin rental companies you see on the travel site for Pigeon forge or Gatlinburg are reputable. We have used American Patriot Getaways, Aunt Bugs, Country Oaks and Eagles Ridge. Never been dissatisfied with any of them. They all have gone above and beyond with customer service.

If you are planning for July you should be making your reservations before long, July goes fast.

There are many family friendly activities in that area. The Aquarium, Dollywood, Splash Country, Dixie Stampede, and all kinds of touristy things up and down the strip.

There are many places in the national park to horseback ride, walk trails or tour historical sites.

You can tube up and down the river, zip line or whitewater raft. You are only limited by what you are willing to try.

Hope you find what you want and Enjoy your stay!!!

We went this winter and had a great time. The National Park is amazing. Cade's Cove was beautiful and the rest area right when you get to the cove is an amazing place for a picnic lunch. The falls (can't remember the name) on the way to Cade's Cove was an amazing hike.

We ziplined with CLIMBworks and it was fantastic! I researched around and this was the most impressive by far. Lots of extra's thrown in and the lines were long and high. The people were fantastic. We'd go with them in a heartbeat again.

My son was dying to do Hillybilly Golf in Gatlinburg but it was closed for the season. Poor boy was devastated and has vowed to get back to TN again somehow, someway.

We stayed at Oak Haven (not sure if it's in Sevierville or Pigeon Forge) but it was a very nice cabin. We had a two bedroom for four people and it was plenty of room.

It had a jacuzzi and foosball machine in the cabin, full kitchen, washer and dryer, etc. It was great and not too far from Gatlinburg--but out of the crazy traffic.

Oak Haven used to get really good reviews but I haven't checked them lately.

Our kids loved Hillybilly Golf!

We've stayed at various cabins at Oak Haven Resorts (Sevierville) and have been pleased with all but one. That one had a decent size, etc but the flooring was dirty!

I like Oak Haven because it's about 5-10 minutes from Tangier Outlet, restaurants, etc plus it's not way up a mountain.

We've always chosen a cabin within walking distance of the pool
