Just read the double name post and it got me wondering about famous names.
I don't personally know anyone with a double name, but I do know a couple of "famous names". When I was a kid we lived next door to Ronald McDonald (many years before Macca's came into being) and a friends husband is Dean Martin.

I had a student named Michael Jordan quite a few years ago. And a Tyler Stevens (reversed from Steven Tyler, but when official documents had his last name listed first I would always do a double take). Oh and a Joel Williams that I always wanted to call Billy Joel. | |

Well, if anyone knows the name of the person that made "You are My Sunshine" famous and is credited with writing it, his name was Jimmie Davis and had been Governor of Louisiana for two nonconsecutive terms.
I currently know TWO other people named Jimmie Davis and spell it that way. I actually met the former governor Jimmie Davis when I was around 11. He was actually born and raised close to where I lived for 7 years while growing up. He died in 2000 at the age of 101.
Oh, and "You are My Sunshine" is one of Louisiana's TWO state songs. Actually there are 4 in all, one is a state march song and forgot what type song the other one is!
ETA: When I was in the first through the fourth grades, one of the girls in the other class was named Elizabeth Taylor. |

Not a famous name, but I knew a girl named Blue Green. Her name was Mary Blue, nicknamed "Blue" and married a guy with the last name "Green." She was "Blue Green." |

My maiden name is Smith....Jacqueline Smith. LOL Of course, I'm old enough that I wasn't named after Jaclyn Smith. I also went my Jaci (pronounced like Jackie).
When I was younger it bugged the crud out of me. In fact, in my early 20s I broke up with a guy that twice bought me her perfume because he thought it was the funniest thing....well, that and the fact he was a total loser!

I remember....I worked with a Samantha Stevens, and she named her daughter Tabitha.
.
She had never watched Bewitched (no tv growing up) and somebody told her Tabitha would be a pretty name if she had a girl.UGH we tried to tell her about Bewitched, but she still named her daughter Tabitha.
