Hi ya'll. Tuckered out today, but I got my 3.1 in.
Completely jealous of you gals that got to do the color run over the weekend. Does anyone have pics to share? I'm super excited to do my first color run in June.

I did my Week 6 Day 3 C25K workout. Cant believe I am running for 25 minutes. It aint fast, but I am moving!!

Thinking about finding a St Patricks Day 5K to run.

So what do you suggest for after C25K? Not sure if I am ready for a 10K program yet, I feel I need to increase speed and become more comfortable with the 5K distance.

I swam 2000 yd today.
After C25k I did Hal Higdon's Spring Training. Google know it, lol.

I did the Color Run in Tempe, AZ this weekend and I loved how it rained the whole time! At first, I was not sure if my group would still want to go, but we all did and had a blast! We ran/walked in the rain and at the end danced and jumped around in the mud at the mosh pit. It's so fun

Todays, run was 3 miles in the light rain. Not bad and so nice to run in cool weather

Never done a color run but I'm hopeful that eventually they will bring one to Shreveport La. Looks like a blast, even in the rain.

SMBIRTH, I'd just sign up for a series of 5K's for a while, get really comfortable running that distance and find that you can increase your speed and consistency before moving to the 10K program.

Lots of 5K's are what eventually led me to trying a 10k, then a half marathon, then marathons. Careful--you may end up hooked on the sport.

Congrats on finishing the program. So many folks start it and never complete it. For such a "simple" sport, it really is not easy, is it!

Beth, I'm so excited for you guys/gals going to Ireland. When is the race? I know you'll have a terrific time and hope you'll post photos for us to see.

I ran 3 today with some friends. Track work tomorrow in really bad forecast weather--we'll see how that works out. Still looking forward to the 21 miler this Saturday. I know. I know. There's something not quite right about that. But I can't wait

Beth, I am so glad your Irish adventure has got the green light

Mapsworker, I am not near that stage where I can even fathom running 21 miles, let alone look forward to it

I did 4 miles today. Wouldn't say I enjoyed it, but I got it done

I did the Color Run in Orlando last month. We had an absolute blast. There's a similar one called Color Me Rad that benefits Ronald McDonald House if you can't get into the Color Run (they sell out fast).

No running today, just CrossFit. Aiming for 4 tomorrow, even though it's supposed to be in the 80's. <---Florida Girl problems

I got to get out in the sunshine today. It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon. I just didn't enjoy myself. I'm really, really trying to like this running thing, and quite frankly, it doesn't get me all "warm and tingly" inside.

I finished C25K last year and ran a few 5Ks which were a lot of fun, and now I am back into running after a long break, and I'm trying to keep myself motivated. I get out and do it because I refuse to quite. Oh and I just bought some new (very cute) running clothes so my DH would kick my rear end if I quit.

So, those of you that are on the fence with running, what keeps you motivated and at what point did you decide you loved to run? I like buying cute running clothes and fun gear, I love to read about running and listen to podcasts, but I just can't make myself running. ***sigh***

It's Color Me Rad that's coming to Calgary at the end of June. I'm so looking forward to doing that one with some friends and all our kidlets.

Today... I DID IT!! I ran farther than I've ever ran before - a little over 4 miles. And I know checking in on these threads and hearing how everyone else is doing that has kept me motivated to get there. Felt great.

Rest day for me!

What keeps me motivated is that I am losing weight but most importantly I feel like I am a happier person when I get a run in. Also, it is fun to shop for new running clothes

I'm FREE! I'm FREE!

That was me yelling during my run today. It was 67 degrees (in Ohio in January!) and I ran in shorts. I felt like the biggest dork- huge smile on my face when I first ran down the street. I finished my 3.2 loop in my best time this year. I could have easily run 5 or 6 if it wasn't getting dark.

To stay motivated- I keep track of my runs on Mapmyrun.com. It's a great feeling to see all the blocks filled in with miles and times. If I'm on the fence about wanting to run or not I remember how great I feel when I'm done. It's like a drug sometimes.

I ran my 5 today. I stay motivated by signing up for races. I have a 10 mile, my first indoor tri, and a half next month.

Congrats on the PDR, kayak!

2 miles for me today. It's been too long since I last ran, as I've been sick. I'm still coughing a bit, but was anxious to get back out there. I took it slow and it felt really good.

Great job on your longest run yet, kayak!

5K after work, outside, doing some speedwork. Killed miles 1 and 2, but 3 was HARD! Got my best 5K time ever though. 83 degrees today, 85 degrees tomorrow, then doooooown to 65 on Thursday. Hate the huge difference days--makes everything wonky.

Congrats all on getting out there! It's been a couple of shorter runs for me this week with a 4 mile on Monday and 3 something yesterday. This morning I did an Insanity dvd as the weather guy called it 'blustery' outside. Not my favorite.
As far as motivation, I really love running so most days it's not a problem but it does help to have something on the calendar as incentive.

I did a 3.1 yesterday, by the time I got in, it was really starting to warm up - ugh. Littlefish, I am looking forward to a few days of cooler weather

I also did some strengthening exercises, and boy do my muscles tell me this morning

forgot to post the last few days...wednesday was 4 miles and thursday was 3 so today is a rest day!

have to run 5 miles tomorrow, my longest yet. debating whether doing it on a treadmill (boring) or outside. I would love to find a trail but need to do some research first plus I am afraid what I might come across in the desert!

Scrap-tag, that is awesome I totted up my miles, and I ran 31.32 miles in January. So I have now run a marathon OK, now I just have to run it in one day instead of 31

Beth, when you decide to train for something, you don't hold back do you Great job on the swimming. I need to get back in the pool. We have a outdoor community pool that is heated and open all year round, I should try to make the effort. I love swimming.

I ran just over 5 miles this morning, my longest run so far that I have ran every single yard of I also did leg, butt and abs workout.

3.1 yesterday and headed out to do another 3.1 or 4, deending on how it goes, right now.
Total kms for January is 90! That's probably more than I ran all last year combined.

Got in 5k on Wednesday and will do another tomorrow. I'm having a bit of pain in my left heel and want to start my first week of half marathon training on Monday, so decided to take an extra rest day.
