Video of Mom holding toddler getting a tattoo...

So I saw this on facebook and thought, this simply can't be real. But it looks real (and even if it isn't holding a kid down screaming for no reason isn't the best idea either.)

I'm covered in tattoos, my kids love the fake tattoos but until they are of age, I wouldn't condone any tattoos or body modifications besides earrings. Does anyone think tattooing a kid is a good idea?

What tattoo parlor would do a toddler tattoo?

We started to watch that video the other day. I think we got up to about 5 seconds before doing it off. My reaction was the same as yours. It cannot be real, but it sure does look it!

I thought it was illegal even with adult permission.

Didn't something like this recently (within the last year) happen and the kid was taken away?

Off to watch the video..

Honestly, I don't believe it is real. Not for one second.

They're not speaking English so perhaps this is from another country?

Found it...Cuba

Father Tattoos Son

The story I posted happened in Cuba but when I was looking to see if the kid was identified I found this... I am appalled he only got probation and a $300 fine.

I saw it on my friends Facebook and can't finish watching it. It is so disturbing. I cringe everytime I bring my 2 and 3yo for their vaccination. I can only imagine the pain what this toddler is going through..

I saw it on the news and find it very disturbing. How could someone subject their child to that kind of pain??

I realize it's from Cuba and different countries have different traditions or rituals, maybe this is normal for them. It still kills me to hear that baby cry like that.

I didn't watch it when it was posted on FB because even if it was fake (and I was so hoping that it was), I still couldn't bear to watch it.

As for the article, this part:

"I am trying to figure out why this is illegal" she questioned in the courtroom. Is it illegal to pierce your little girl's ears?"

Seriously? I don't have a daughter, and wouldn't pierce her ears until she was old enough to ask, anyway, but the pain involved in ear piercing is almost nothing.

I can clearly remember having my ears pierced at age 6. They did one ear at a time (Now they do both at once.) and I cried before the first one out of fear and then was fine before the 2nd one because then I knew it wouldn't hurt.

I saw an article on this subject yesterday. It mentioned in other countries where kidnapping into sex trafficking occurs that this is common. Parents apparently have tattooed children with identifying information so they can be returned home if they're located.

I haven't watched this video, but see that is probably not the case with this situation.
