So he just turned 15 and still doesn't have body odor (underarms or feet). My DH has very low body odor and never smelly feet so he must have got that from him. Both me and my DD have to use deodorant every single day and our feet smell something terrible.
Is it unusual for teen boys and men not to smell or do we just hear about the ones that do smell really bad?

My DH doesn't really smell. If he's been outside working he might smell sweaty, but he doesn't have BO.
I don't really have to worry about BO, either. We both have very little body hair and what we do have is fair -- I wonder if that has something to do with it.

We have often asserted and we affirm it yet again that no fact in history is better attested than the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. It must not be denied by any who are willing to pay the slightest respect to the testimony of their fellow men. That Jesus, who died upon the cross, and was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, did literally rise again from the dead. (excerpted from Dance Your Shoes Off, Second Baptist Church)

My DH doesn't have to use deodorant. He gets sweaty but it's his forehead and back not his arm pits. His feet don't smell bad either.

everyone's chemistry is different. It is the bacteria that smells, not the actual persperation |

I'll bet a vampire could smell him!
Can you tell which genre of books I've been reading lately? |

My 15 y/o DS doesn't have bad body odor either. Or any for that matter. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. |
OK. Newbie. This is how it works. If your post consists of 80% sanity, 10% stupidity and 10% all kinds of crazy, we immediately focus on the 20% b/c it discredits the 80%.

My DH hardly sweats and doesn't get BO really. I think maybe twice EVER I've noticed BO on him and it was after he spent all day in an insulated suit at work.
Me, on the other hand, not so lucky at all. I always tell him how unfair it is- boys are supposed to be the stinky ones. |

Probably because he is a boy. Girls smell! I have three of them. It's mostly their feet. They must wash their feet as soon as they get home from school or the whole 1st floor smells! The kids are 9, 13 and 15, but their feet started to smell when they started school and wear shoes all day. Not bad in the summer though!
My husband is always standing near them, then telling them they stink, to go shower!

My dh doesn't really smell unless he's just been working in the yard in the hot sun and
even then it's more of a sweat smell not really body odor. He also doesn't have smelly
feet. I have always assumed smelly feet came from wearing dirty sneakers or dirty socks.
Dh has this thing about liking to wear new sneakers so he replaces them every 6 months or so and he makes the newly replaced pair, his outdoor working shoes and tosses the old working shoes.
I would be so grossed out if dh had smelly feet.

Mine doesn't either. But he's always been a shower-every-day-and-wash-hair-no-matter-what kid and that hasn't changed in puberty.
He also washes his own bedding very regularly.

My dh doesn't really smell, either (and he's pretty hairy, so I don't think that has anything to do with it). What smell he does have isn't bad (though he thinks it is). He does get sweaty, just not stinky.
Unfortunately, this particular trait was not passed down to any of our 3 sons, or our daughter! |

I don't notice bad odors coming from my son, but his room will get smelly after 3 or 4 13/14 year old boys spend a couple of hours hanging out in it together. Seriously. The smell is horrendous.
But, the boys individually don't smell bad. I don't understand what causes his rooom to smell bad. It is a mystery.

You are lucky. I work at a place where lots of kids hang out. There are 10-15 year olds who desperately need deodorant. Put 200 kids in one building.....STINKY!!! |
