I have two king size comforters that I would like to store and no matter how you fold them, they just don't fit well on shelves. I would like to try the space bag type thing, IF it works. I read a review on one kind and it slowly let the air in, another one talked about the plastic smell on all the items when he/she opened it...

I know there are different brands, but if you have an experience good or bad, would you share that with me, please? Thanks for your help!

I have some... I had the Space Bag brand and they work great. I have about 3 quilts in there a blanket. It squished them all down and it all pops back out when you open them. They do have a plastic smell and I aired items out or washed them. No big deal. For the money I thought they worked great.

My husband uses them. They don't seem to last that long. The seal stops working. They'll last through the first season he stores things, but then on the next change of season, they start having lots of troubles. I don't know what brand he bought though.

I have a king sized comforter in one - it's really really flat - and the quilt and afghan my granny crocheted for me in another. They've been in them since we moved here three years ago, with no loss of seal. I can't say anything about the smell as I haven't opened them.

We had the same problem with the seal not lasting very long. It was a great idea but didn't work for us.
