Seems lots of people on the other thread say something like "mine's name is Doug" or something similar.
I don't get mine done enough to have a guy or girl who does my nails every time.
Those of you who have a tech, do you go on a regular basis? Even in the winter? Do you make an appointment with your person? |

Yes. I go for a pedicure every 2-3 weeks depending on my schedule (and his)
I go to the same guy every time, he's 19 and is super busy, all the ladies love him and he promotes my business like crazy for me so I check in often, and usually bring him Starbucks and a snack. It's been about a month now and I got a text today asking if I was cheating on him. As if! haha |

I always go to the same place, but not the same person. The place I go to is pretty small and there are only about 3 different girls that do pedicures in there. Since I have been going there for about 3 years I know them all and all of them have done my pedicures. There is one I prefer, but I don't make appointments, so I take whoever is available. | |

Yes, I go to the same person for both manicures and pedicures. I get manicures every two weeks and pedicures every four weeks. I have a standing appointment at noon on every other Friday with the same woman every time. | |

I sure do at home it's my daughter , Julie , when I visit my dd Rebecca in rocky River I go to her and when I'm in Florida I go to the same lady . So I have 3 people |

I've been seeing the same person every 3 - 4 weeks for the last 12 years.
Before I leave I make one or two of my next appointments.
It was purely a client relationship for the first few years, but now it is a friendship. | |

I love my nail-tech. She's like a daughter to me. It started out business but I have helped her learn English, edited her official papers, and enjoyed our growing relationship for many years. She brings me Vietnamese foods and was such a help with dd in her teen years. She has risen to own a shop after working for someone for several years. I'm really proud of her.
That said, my nails are a mess (thin) and my cuticles (thinner) are worse. I get a weekly manicure (unless we are out of town) and it's worth it. She's like a miracle worker and I am no longer embarrassed about my nails/cuticles like I was before I went to her. I'd love to be able to do my own nails but cannot get the cuticle thing right. | |
