Every time I use my dry shampoo my hair stays looking lighter until I wash it out. Is it the shampoo I'm using or am I not rubbing it in enough, or too much? Or is it simply that my hair is dark?

What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried blow drying it out? I use it on my 9 yo dd periodically and we like to blow it out because I feel like I can still see it there otherwise. Her hair is light/medium brown.
