I hesitate to post this, but I thought it was the perfect discussion topic for the peas.

I just found out about this earlier today. It's a really sad story about a mom who was 28 weeks pregnant with twins, went to a Catholic hospital, and died in the ER. So did her twins. The father filed a wrongful death suit against the hospital, and this article is about the Catholic hospital's defense that a fetus is not a person.

Thank you for the link! Most people said my thoughts exactly.

I know this doesn't come from the church, but from CNN where I read the article, but this really bothers me. On a sidebar, it says, "Colorado courts agreed with the Catholic organization's defense that the embryos weren't people." Really? 28 week babies are "embryos?" I guess I think of an embryo as a new pregnancy in the very early stages.
