Question about hives-

Anyone have an experience with hives - about 2 weeks ago I broke out in the weirdest rash on my neck and arms. Went to the Dr. who gave me a shot of steroids and followed up with a 6 day course of pills. The rash has subsided greatly, the swelling and extreme redness is gone, however now I'm left with dark red splotches where the rash was. Anyone ever had something similar and did the redness ever go away?

Yes, it does eventually go away. All I can recall is it seemed to take a long time.
