I have about 10 coats in my closet that take up valuable space in the 11 and a half months of summer we have here. I don't really have a coat closet, so I was looking for another solution for storage. Is there a special bag or bin that I should buy? How do you store coats in the off season?

Do you really need the 10 coats? I would pare down the ones you have first, if you almost never use them.
Other than that, there are the sweater bags that you can pack them in, and store them under a bed, if you have that space?
You can also get those vacuum bags- my grandmother uses those to store lots of clothing and bedding and they work really well. They have a nozzle that you attach to the vaccuum and everything takes up a quarter of a space.

I would get rid of some of the coats. Then get a storage bag and keep it under your bed or in a suitcase. |

Ok, girls. Y'all are really asking a lot! I don't think I could get rid of any of them. I have the basic black and tan ones, but I also have a hot pink, a kelly green and a beautiful yellow, plus ski coats. I do have a king size bed with nothing underneath, so I think they would all fit there. I was just worried about bugs/moths. I bet Container Store probably has some good bags for storage.
Thanks for your help! | |
