Dh and I would like to buy a mattress topper after enjoying great nights sleep with one on holiday. I'm unsure about which filling to choose and would appreciate any helpful suggestions or feedback from anyone who has one.
Just to add that I will be emailing to see whether we can find out what type was on the bed on holiday!
Thanks
ETA - nearly time for bed here so will check back in the morning for any more responses Thanks.

Did it make you feel hot during the night? I've heard a few people say that and I don't need any help with that due to some hot flushes!!

I have a feather bed and I love it! Mine just sits on the top of my bed, but my daughter has one that actually fits like a fitted sheet. They are both down filled. I never get too hot |

Gar I have tried a northern nights down matress topper from Qvc which was just too much work for me, as it needed shaking every single day.
I now have a memory foam about 2 inches thick, topped iwith a sort of egg box style foam topper. Both were from ebay. They are absolute heaven to sleep on and I have never felt hot on them. |

The memory foam can get very hot DH can't sleep on them. We bought one of the new ones with gel in it as well as memory foam and it isn't nearly as bad. I thought I was having night sweats before we switched |

My mom had a memory foam on her bed. She stayed so hot she couldn't stand it. They switched out the memory foam to the guest bed. I love it but I have trouble keeping warm when I sleep so the extra heat retention is a bonus for me. |
