I am playing with a random opponent through facebook. Our avatars show and his was a sports team close to where I live. I asked if he was a fan and he responded with yes, I used to live in "x town" and have been throught "y town" (where I am) many times. This was first message I sent this person, I am wondering how he knew my location? Kind of weird or I am missing something.

Do you have location turned on, on your phone? When the rounds come up, it has a location under the photo of the person I'm playing, as well as a location under my photo. I mostly noticed it because it thinks I'm in a town about 30 minutes away for some very odd reason. |

I play from an ipod but through facebook. I cant see a location, but maybe he does?

Maybe he was just guessing your town, since you were asking if him if he was a fan of the team from x town? I would have asked him how he knew what your town was. |

I play on my phone through Facebook. With the last Songpop update the cities now show under your name. You need to go into settings (those 2 little gear/wheel like things in the upper corner) then advanced settings and then turn off location displayed. |

I didn't know they changed it & now put the location on facebook. The last time I played Song Pop, they didn't share any information at all about your opponent. |

I laugh because it has showed two different cities for me, neither correct.
It will change for where I am during the day, but when I am home wrong city |

I updated song pop and now I see where the location is being shown. Thanks for your help, I was a little creeped out..lol.
And thanks for telling me how to turn off location!
