I was happy to read this part...
there is an upside from the settlement. Facebook has to give all users additional information about and control over the use of their names and profile pictures in Sponsored Stories. Maybe that means Facebook will give you a better way to control this than currently exists.

I got it the other day and you're right, I did wonder if it was some kind of phishing scam. Why didn't they make it look more official?
But anyway, I'm not getting involved in it. As far as I know, I haven't suffered from any Facebook misconduct. Not $10 worth, anyway.  |

The question is....if people delete it and don't claim their $10, who gets all those extra $10 bills? The lawyers? I doubt FB gets to keep it. | |

The claim states that claimants may get up to $10. The more people drop out, the closer to $10 you will get.

I got it, but I doubt I'll file the claim. If I "sue" Facebook, I'm not sure they'd like me and could cancel my account! Plus, like a PP, I think I've used $10 worth.
They said that if too many people claim the $, the $20 million set aside will not be dispersed but go to charity.
I don't care about $$, I'm just glad that FB has to stop using my name in advertisements without permission. Now if they could only stop all of the obnoxious "likes" showing up on my feed from my ultra political friends!!
