If you did and you wondered if it was legit, it is.

From Forbes...

Yes, That Legal Notice You Got from Facebook is Real

I was happy to read this part...

there is an upside from the settlement. Facebook has to give all users additional information about and control over the use of their names and profile pictures in Sponsored Stories. Maybe that means Facebook will give you a better way to control this than currently exists.

Yeah I got it awhile ago. I am not even bothering with filing the form for it. You might get $10 and might not. Just not worth it to me to give all my info to them.

I got it and I deleted it. Not worth the trouble. Glad to know it was real though. I wondered.

I got it the other day and you're right, I did wonder if it was some kind of phishing scam. Why didn't they make it look more official?

But anyway, I'm not getting involved in it. As far as I know, I haven't suffered from any Facebook misconduct. Not $10 worth, anyway.

I got it and deleted it. I think I owe Facebook more than $10 for the friends I'd lost contact with that I was able to reconnect with

The question is....if people delete it and don't claim their $10, who gets all those extra $10 bills? The lawyers? I doubt FB gets to keep it.

The claim states that claimants may get up to $10. The more people drop out, the closer to $10 you will get.

I got it, but my husband didn't.

I got it and deleted it. I don't like the idea of FB having to pay users up to $10 or any amount for something they have been using, by their own choice, for free for years.

Class action lawsuits only benefit the lawyers
from what I understand. I remember back in the
day where there was huge one and basically everyone
got about $15. The lawyers got most of the money.
So what is the point?

I got it, but I doubt I'll file the claim. If I "sue" Facebook, I'm not sure they'd like me and could cancel my account! Plus, like a PP, I think I've used $10 worth.

They said that if too many people claim the $, the $20 million set aside will not be dispersed but go to charity.

I don't care about $$, I'm just glad that FB has to stop using my name in advertisements without permission. Now if they could only stop all of the obnoxious "likes" showing up on my feed from my ultra political friends!!
