Plan on cleaning today that you generally don't think about.
1. I am going to flip the couches over and vacuum the bottoms of them. They tend to get dust bunnies stuck to the bottom.
2. We are going to soak and scrub the register vents. Ours are floor vents do they tend to cruddy.
How about you? Maybe you will inspire me. Lol |

I took the vent thing that goes along the bottom of the fridge and vacuumed out the coils. Gross. Dog hair..dust.
The register vents are a good idea. Maybe I will do that next after lunch, words with friends and two peas.

I'm getting my house appraised this afternoon, and while the cleanliness of my house doesn't affect the appraisal, first impressions do. So, I am almost done cleaning. I need to vacuum my dd's room; who knew she had a floor? I'm cleaning, well dusting really, the downstairs bathroom, and mopping my floors.
As I've been cleaning for this "event" I realize that I have a lot of shit. I need to purge my house of clutter. I hold onto things because I might need it sometime. I need to learn to let.it.go. That's my next endeavor. |

taking the light globes off of the bathroom fixture and ceiling fan in the family room and running them through the dishwasher, cleaning the light bulbs and fixture itself from the same bathroom, and then replacing them all when they're nice and sparklie! | |

That's a great idea! I hate cleaning those things, but never thought to take them off entirely and put them in the dishwasher. I may try that as well.
I haven't done anything 'unique' cleaning-wise today. Just the basics of laundry, vacuuming, and general scrubbing. Getting ready to leave town for 3 weeks for work, so I have to do major packing, using up as much food out of the fridge as possible, and cleaning. I don't want to come home to a dirty house! |

I got the microwaved cleaned out. Also went through my file boxes and purged some old files/organized. I'm tired of having random piles of paper around! I also typed a list of all the Elvis/chuck berry/jerry lee Lewis albums I got from my dad. | |

This air-intake vent in our living room, is super dusty and needs to be taken off and cleaned. That is going to be my out-of-the-norm thing to clean today because it's bugging me |

I cleaned the Living room carpet and moved everything Tuesday opened all the windows and cleaned them and the window jams ,it was 75 then and now it is only 14 .I went to the dollar store the other day and was looking at their baskets and wanted to get something to organize under the bathroom sinks but I didn't get anything decided to go back later when I had more time to look .Well this morning I remembered in my scrap building I had a lot of blue bins used in a shop that stacks so I went and got a few of those and now I will clean under the sink . |

Here's what I've done today (just finishing what I didn't get done yesterday):
swept and swiffered floors
polished kitchen cabinets
purged and organized 2 kitchen cabinets
cleaned countertops and appliances
polished living room furniture
I still need to:
clean out the refrigerator
finish purging and organizing cabinets & drawers (did most yesterday)
clean basement bathroom (cleaned other two bathrooms yesterday)
If I get that done I will:
organize the coat closet

Cleaned the oven  , well wiped it out because it is self-cleaning!  Did the sheets on our bed.
Cleaning the garbage cans! I have a triple garbage can under one cabinet corner, so cleaned the inside of the cabinet and am washing one can at a time in the utility sink. Have 2 done.
Other that, I'm taking it easy today, post surgery rest! |

Cleaning out the 'junk drawer' in the kitchen and going through the bathroom cupboards. Tossing all those bottles of lotion, shampoo, etc. with just a bit left in them. | |

Mine was my oven. It only counts cuz I wasn't planning on cleaning it today. BUT.... I'm making some casseroles to freeze for when the baby arrives and I was roasting some chicken. It made an insane mess in my new oven. I was not happy. I roast chicken breasts all the time and never have had this happen. |

Filthy windowsills. Used the skinny angled vacuum tube, a Swiffer, and then, a huge toothbrush with Simple Green.
YUCK! I live in such a dusty area.

I have all my cd's and dvd laid across my living room floor to be organized, put back in their right cases (and not the chandler bing filing method), and shelved. About 2 years ago the shelf got knocked over and they've been a mess ever since! | |

SAHW here. I clean everyday. There are days I love to clean and there are days I HATE cleaning. I need to clean many of the areas posted here. Thanks for the reminder 
The entertainment center
- I found VHS tapes! I have Denise Austin's VHS 3 pack that has never been opened. A Jane Fonda tape from the 90's. Fortunately hubby kept a VCR.
- Plenty of dust
- Plenty of electronic cords that I have no idea what to do with
- Camcorder (I need to Ebay it or donate it to a school)
- Two well loved (worn) games: Chutes and Ladders and Candyland (can't part with those)

I'm so proud of myself! I got rid of Christmas today! 
Took down the tree and threw it out--the lights don't work and we've put lights on it the last two years. I asked my husband "What's the use of having a pre-lit tree if the lights don't work? Get rid of it!" and he was thrilled! We'll get a new one next year.
Also, had some of my Dept. 56 stuff up and though technically they are winter not Christmas, I just decided to put it all away today.
Now's the hard part--what do I put on the mantle???  |

We have an older house (built in 1863) - with vinyl floors that are no longer no wax (over 23 years old). I read on pintrest to try Scrubbing Bubbles to get the dirt out of those had to clean crevices in old vinyl! ITS A MIRACLE! Does the trick without being down on my hands and knees to get it accomplished!
