DH has to run to town and is stopping at walmart to get a packet of dry yeast for his fartless chili (don't ask). I know I've seen the cubes of yeast in the refrigerated section, but he needs just the little dry packet of yeast. Do stores have those in the refrigerated section or the baking section? I can't go with him and he doesn't have time to wander around the huge store searching for it, so I figured I'd ask here.
TIA! and this will show him that the Peas are useful and this is not just a "gossip website" as he likes to tease me. I think that stems from jealousy that I always hear news from here before he sees it (even sports news), so he's always the last to know something.  |

I believe they are in the baking section. Definitely NOT the refrigerator. |

Bakery/flour/sugar aisle. They sell it by the jar and by the individual envelopes. I've only seen it where there are 3 envelopes in a pack.

Baking section. Usually top shelf at my stores. They come in packets or a jar, I've seen. |

On the baking aisle, usually near the flour. Fleishman's (sp?) makes it in packets although I believe they are 3 packs.

Just in case he can't find them there... my store has a rack by the milk it has packets and jars of yeast. I don't know why. If all else fails, tell him to ask for directions. |
