Nope, it's not raining. No snow. It's BRIGHT and sunny and beautiful. We have entered into our annual summer in February. It usually lasts 2-3 weeks and is glorious.
Time to put on the shorts and clean my sunglasses and go for a nice long walk/run/hike!

Enjoy! But you could also move over the mountians to the High Desert and enjoy sunshine more frequently! JK! I lived in PDX for 8 years, and now in the High Desert for 8, loving the sunshine and lack of dark grey skies!

Find a job for both of us, and we'll be there! That's our favorite place! We'll be at Tumalo in June, can't wait!

It is gorgeous today!

We ALMOST moved to Bend when we decided to leave Astoria, but instead moved to the Portland area. I love central Oregon so much. It's truly one of my very favorite places. I know we made the right decision for our family, but it still bums me out a bit. We hope to finally move there after DS is done with school.

We moved to the Portland area a few months ago from NM. I absolutely love it here, rain or shine. Yesterday's and today's weather is icing on the cake. I can't imagine ever getiing tired of looking at Mt. Hood. I gasp out loud every time I see it.

True Story: I threw open all of the curtains and blinds in my living room this morning, and my 13 year old literally gasped out loud. She had JUST realized that our walls and our ceiling are NOT the same color. LOL (We've been back in our house for almost three years!!) Funny what a little sun will show you!

So jealous! Both of my brothers and their families live in Portland. It's cold and snow here in MN.

It was BEAUTIFUL today!!! We headed down to Newport and we didn't even need jackets on the coast. We went down to the tidepools. No breeze. No cold. Just sun. Couldn't believe it!! Sunny and warmish all day long...in February!

My windows were ALL open yesterday! Would've done it again today, except we were gone. Tomorrow should be the same. Crossed fingers!

Pdffffftttt. I am still ticked we had such a pitiful winter, and no snow! I live in Portland because I like rain and periodic snow. Not ready for sun yet.

I was visiting in Windham/Freeport/S Portland from last Wednesday until yesterday (Monday) and other than a couple yucky days, it was gorgeous! I'm from Florida and didn't wear a coat (even in the 20 degrees) but twice the whole time I was there.

It's definitely different than here...I really enjoyed it, but can't wait to go back in the Spring/Summer!

The departure of our boys to foreign parts with the ever-present possibility that they might never return, taught the real value of photography to every father and mother. Please send some of that to Carolina Beach in Wilmington NC for this weekend! I'm going there for a SB retreat.

Enjoy your "rain, rain, rain"!

ETA: Sorry, I just realized this was from Feb 2. Well, I hope you enjoyed that wonderful sunshine while it lasted.
