I agree about Leah. I was just shaking my head while I was watching it. I didn't see the previews yet (were they on after the 'unseen moments' show?) but I think I read that Kailyn and Javi are engaged. |

I'm pretty sure that Kailyn and Javi got married very quietly. I thought leah was irresponsible and I wish Chelsea would knock off the baby voice. I have more sympathy for Kailyn because I think she tried to move on with Javi and was still very much in love with Jo, not looking for some hookup. He's the father of her child and I think in the back of her mind V took away the possibility of that little family ever being able to be resurrected. |

I haven't seen this episode yet but I do know that Leah had a miscarriage a while ago. It was in the press. She was rumored to have been carrying twins, I don't remember if that was confirmed or not. I hope she takes some time to settle into her new marriage before expanding her family, but I wish her well. She's young and hasn't always made the best decisions but she's a good mom and she's at least likeable, which is more than I can say for the other three moms (I'm referring to their likeability only--out of the 3, only Jenelle seems to suck as a parent).
I can't stand Chelsea-uh and her whining baby voice-uh and the way she adds UH after every other word.
Jenelle...I just have no more words for her.
Kailyn, same thing. I don't know why I continue to watch this, honestly. | |

SPOILERS!!!! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS CURRENTLY HAPPENING IN THEIR LIVES, SKIP MY POST!
Leah had a miscarriage with the pregnancy that is currently being shown. She and Jeremy did get married and she gave birth to a little girl yesterday.
Jenelle got married to some loser a couple of months ago - after only knowing him a month, I believe - and she was pregnant. She had a miscarriage a week or so ago.
Kailyn did marry Javi and I don't see much reported about her. Except that she got a new tattoo - LOL. |

I heard on Sirius Radio yesterday that MTV is cancelling the series. They cited something about no longer being a party to the violence that is in some of the girl's lives and that they're getting backlash about showing the trainwrecks when it started out trying to prove a point about teen pregnancy. |

Finally! I've only ever seen a few episodes of the first series 16 and pregnant because I've felt that MTV was exploiting these girls. I know they're getting paid more money than most will ever make but that's only encouraging them to have all this drama in their lives. They know that the marriages/divorces and new pregnancies will keep them in the show, land them on People's cover and provide money so they can get their drugs, plastic surgery, etc....
I'm glad to see MTV is finally getting enough backlash from others who feel the same way. Sorry if you liked it but I could no more watch this show than I could watch a bunch of kids making themselves sick on candy week after week.

I read yesterday that they are looking at getting rid of Janelle but continuing the series. Apparently MTV doesn't want another Amber on their hands after the backlash they faced with her. |

I read yesterday that they are looking at getting rid of Janelle but continuing the series. Apparently MTV doesn't want another Amber on their hands after the backlash they faced with her.
I read that they are finishing up Teen Mom 2 by airing season 4 starting Feb. 18. Speculation was that they wanted this group wrapped up before they start Teen Mom 3, and they want to end TM2 b/c of Jenelle.
I'm sure the truth is somewhere in all of our scenarios. |

So Jenelle DID lose her baby too?
The general consensus seems to be that Jenelle was never actually pregnant to begin with. She and her scummy new husband (although, aren't all the guys she dates scummy?) sold that story to the tabloids to make some quick money.
Best sum up of this entire show was when Jenelle was commenting on Andrew being Jace's father and said something to the effect of, "How can you have a kid and just not care?"
You've got Jenelle, whose life is a total ridiculous mess. Leah, who cheated on her husband (before he was her husband, but still) and is now whining about how she wanted a family (with a man who is only home on weekends) and "had to" quit school to spend more time with her special needs child (so it makes perfect sense that she removed her IUD and got pregnant.) Kail and Jo, who, for the most part, aren't completely heinous parents, but are incredibly immature (which, I guess, comes with the territory when you are a teen.) And Chelsea, who took three years to get her GED and is still hung up on the total douche that is her baby daddy.
It pains me to know that these people are raising children (except for Jenelle, thank GOD) and are allowed to vote. | |

My theory? Jeremy makes a buttload of money and she doesn't NEED to work now, but saying she's dropping out to care for her daughter just sounds better than, "The guy I met a couple of weeks/months? ago and moved in with makes a lot of money so I'm just going to drop out." |

These girls drive me nuts, but I have to remind myself that I am 44 and they are 19/20. I know I wasn't any smarter about relationships when I was their age. I'd really like to see where they are at in about 20 years. |

I watched the first season of these shows but had to quit. It stopped being at all educational or entertaining, even to the extent that it ever was. Ugh. It is one thing for people to make bad decisions and then make the best of them, but watching them make bad decision after bad decision while aided and abetted by a camera crew and a bunch of "OMG YOU ARE THE BEST MOM EVAH!" online fangirls finally sent me over the edge.
I hope they all get their lives together. Sounds like some of them have done so. | |

That isn't Andrew. That's Gary Head. Jenelle was engaged to him for a bit but then broke up with him. Supposedly he tried to choke her with a sheet or towel. Then she moved on to marrying Courtland and supposedly had the pregnancy & miscarriage (but the way it played out I'm thinking it was all made up). Now she is "hanging out" with Gary Head every day and planning to divorce Courtland. She hasn't admitted it yet but I have a feeling she and Gary are back together and not just hanging out.
Kailyn & Javi got married already but they are planning a wedding/reception for family and friends currently.
The previews for the upcoming episodes where Kailyn hits Javi look BAD! I was shocked and I can't wait to see WTF that's about.
Kailyn keeps apologizing for that online to Javi and his family, and keeps saying she's humiliated by it and anxious about it being on tv. Then she said after it she was diagnosed as bi-polar. She doesn't come across to me as bi-polar AT ALL, but who knows. We only see a sliver of their lives on the show, could be we haven't seen all sides of her I guess. But I never would've guessed her to be bi-polar. | |

I don't know why I watch this show, but I do! I think I am invested in the girls and want to see them do well.
Leah-needs to move on and stay with one guy and just cool down a bit! I get that she wants a family, but doesn't she realize she can have a family with her girls and not a guy...jeez!
Chelsea-cannot stand her whiny voice either but glad she finally got her GED after 3 years of doing nothing! She hardly worked, didn't have many bills to pay for (that we know of). Hope she does well in beauty school and starts working.
Jenelle-cannot stand her so I usually skip through her parts. Like her mom though, most of the time what she says is good except when she and Jenelle fight! Poor Jace, having two of the worst parents. Hope Andrew can step up and be a Dad.
Kail-don't know why, but I have always liked her. Yes what she and Jo said during the fight was wrong but still I have to remember they are only 20! Glad they came to their senses and can co-parent nicely. Her friend seems to have hit it on the nail, she's not jealous of the new gf I think she is scared Isaac will like his family more and will not want to be with her. Next season, looks scary for her! Glad her and Javi worked it out, he seems like a really nice guy so far. |

I'm 24 and even I think these girls are batshit.
I couldn't believe all Leah's mom said was "well you're almost 20, I can't tell you what to do". Uh...no you can't, but you sure as hell can tell her she's a dumbass. Corey TOTALLY hit the nail on the head when he was talking to her about how pathetic it was that she had two twins, got married, got divorced got re-married and pregnant again all before she was 20. |
