I have already filed my taxes with two children, 1 mine and 1 DH's. Now if you remember that my ex is out of work and will owe me on Friday more than $700. I told him-----if I claimed one of our other children this would make up the difference of what he owes.
If he says yes, If I have already filed and gotten my return deposited to my bank, can I amend and add another child?

Yes, you can file an amended return.
Make sure your agreement doesn't violate any agreements you have in writing. | |

Yes you can file an amended return, but I would get dad's signature on this form 8332 from the IRS.

If this is in lieu of child support in arrearage, you should also notify the CSEA so that he gets credit for it. | |

You will need to file a 1040X and be sure you run the numbers and confirm this and get the appropriate documentation from him. |
