Someone *please* volunteer to put a yardstick in your yard and take pics for us as the snow accumulates.

I know a lot of weather guys are packing their yard sticks in prep for the storm!
My dd is so upset we're not getting any of it. She's felt cheated of a good snow for a couple of years now. |

That means I'd actually have to change out of my pajamas and put on shoes!
Maybe someone from MA will do it...they'll have a more impressive snow fall than us here in NY. We're only getting 12-22 inches here. |

I'll have to dig out a yardstick.
I've never seen computer models predict up to 60" before. I've also never seen the governor shut down the state before a single flake fell.
This is going to be bad. | |

I shoveled about 6" off my drive this morning. It didn't start snowing till 11pm so it snowed all that in about 8 hours. I wish I could ship it out to you snow starved peas. |

I'm in northeastern MA, just south of the NH border, and we're expecting at least 24". I'm excited but really hope we don't lose power! |

Notice it goes up to 60" LOL.

Scoobers you are so funny! I am so not a fan of snow, especially when it comes in copious amounts!
In comparison to MA, 12-22 inches isn't much. When I went to bed last night the weather report said parts of MA could get 3' of snow.
I think here where I am we'll probably get about 12" or so.
I'm just glad I am off today and not at work, because I'd be mandated for sure. There's nothing worse than trying to sleep on a stretcher. |

I have a yard stick, bright yellow at that! We are only predicted to get up to 4-10" and higher if you listen to others, but they have no clue. I am on low ground and it drifts here.
It did snow overnight, but it is no longer white, either melting or raining for now and 34 degrees...

I'm in south eastern MA. We're anywhere from 24" to 30" forecasted right now. I'm still hoping they're wrong and they're blowing it all out of proportion
If I had a yard stick or two I'd stick them on the deck. But with all the wind they're predicting, it's going to be tough to measure because of drifts.
Stay safe everyone!

I'm from NE Massachusetts, north of Boston, along the coast...bring it on! I just hope we don't lose power for an extensive amount of time and that our home and my parent's home are safe. After my husband gets home from work at 4...bring it on! He works security and is the account manager and hope his overnight guys are able to make it in (they live close to the site) and most especially his 8am tomorrow. That guy lives about 1/2 hour away from the site so that might be iffy. Since we only live 5-10 minutes away and my husband is the manager...there's a chance he'd have to cover. I hope not! |

I'm in Dracut. Wakefield and Middleton aren't far at all. I know there are lots of other Peas in the area.
I hope you all stay safe in the storm. It's snowing steadily here now and the ground is completely covered. |

This storm is not bad as of yet in NH. It is 6:00 pm and there is about 4 inches and it has just started picking up in the last few hours. The big numbers will be in tomorrow morning.
Here's my rant:
There was very light snow this morning and a point this afternoon with no snow. Kinda of shaking my head why they cancelled school all together rather than just doing the 1/2 day they had planned.
The news stations have gone nuts repeating the same thing over and over. We have had big snowstorms, ice, wind etc. Lost power for days, this is so old hat and I am annoyed at how the news stations get people panicked and hyped up.

We are in PA so we don't have any snow! I would have been really jealous (even though I hate fall/winter and love summer). But we got a surprise 3 ft. of snow a few years ago and after the excitement of the first day, it was a pain! We didn't lose electricity, it was just a pain to shovel!
