I've been using Bona hardwood cleaner since we had the floors put in last year. Lately I've noticed that they look dull and streaky after cleaning them. I use the mop and pad that came with the system and change the pad out for each room.
Has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it? While I know the floors are clean they look icky still. |

I only used a swifer-type way to clean the hardwood floors.
Is this a kind of "steam cleaner"? or is a cleaning product applied each time? That could cause a "build-up" and the floors would look dull.
Contact the manufacturer and ask for their advice. Good Luck!

Try straight vinegar. Mist it, mop it. |

Try straight vinegar. Mist it, mop it.
The person that installed the floors and the place we bought it from both said that vinegar will damage the surface of the flooring and to never use it.
I looked on the Bona site, but I can't find anything that says what to do if it isn't cleaning the floors. |

I've used only Bona since my hardwood floors were installed in 2009 and they look great every time. There is no build up with this product.
I'd call Bona and see if they can help you figure it out.
Your floor is a true hardwood and not laminate?

Vinegar hurting wood floors? Are you sure they're not laminate? |

I tried the Bona and didn't like it. I use Pledge 4 in 1 cleaner on mine and never have any streaking.
