Mommy to Snowflakes
|Posted: 4/9/2013 10:30:28 AM|I just learned about a new app last night. It's only available on iphone so far but they said they're releasing next month for Android. It's an app called Receipt Hog and you scan your grocery receipts for points. Then you can redeem your points for paypal. I just scanned a Kroger, Walgreens, 2 Costco receipts (including 1 snackbar receipt), so they're pretty generous with what they count as "grocery."
The other one I learned about is like ibotta, but it's called Endorse. I haven't used it yet but it's for % back on the qualified items (ie right now it shows Yogurt, Soda, Quaker, any brand of cookies, granola bars, and several other things). I haven't used it yet but I did read that you can only upload once per offer. So if you buy yogurt several days in a row, save your receipts and upload them all at once, and then you get 10% back on the total of all of them, but if you submit one receipt one day, you can't go back and upload more for the same offer. I haven't used it yet (haven't been shopping since I learned about it) but it came highly recommended.
Anyway, just thought I'd pass it on. A pea clued me in to shopkick and I've earned about $45 so far so I wanted to return the favor to other peas.
