I went to the store yesterday and had $80 folded and in my pocket. Didn't use any of it. Went to another store, went to use it and it was gone.

I called the first store figuring there was no way they would have had it turned in. The clerk who answered said a customer left her name and number stating she had found money but no details such as how much, denominations.

I called the woman who was SO nice, I identified the amount and the fact that it was folded. She gave me her address and I went over. I tried to get her to take part of it but she wouldn't hear of it.

I need some physical therapy for my hand that I recently had surgery on. Her husband is a PT and she gave me his card.

It was meant to be.

Anyway. Thought maybe someone might like hearing a happy ending story.

I got my diamond anniversary band back from Disney World.

I have trouble with my fingers swelling in the heat and humidity, so I had taken off and left it in the safe (I meant to leave it at home, but forgot that too) and when I was emptying the safe of money and credit cards when leaving, didn't notice it.

Realized it two days later when I was home. I finally got a hold of one of the managers at Pop Century who eventually got into my room (there was a do not disturb sign on the door the first time they tried) and found my ring. They mailed it back to me free of charge. I was so impressed!

Yeah for you. I'm glad that you got your money back. Who knows? Maybe her husband is a great physical therapist.

Very cool story!

I would've never thought anyone would turn in cash like that.
I don't think I have ever heard of someone turning cash in. I'll be honest, the temptation to not turn it in would be pretty intense, so I don't know if I would or not. Good for her for doing it.
