His time has to be up soon. I think the judges are getting tired of his garbage-picking ways. This is Project Runway, not Extreme Couponing. He who has the most money leftover in his bank account does not win.

I cracked up when Justin took out his hearing aid (at least I think that's what it is) so he didn't have to hear the fighting.

BTW, are there any models from previous seasons of ANTM walking the runway this season?

I think Justin has a cochlear implant and that's the part that attaches from the outside. I laughed so hard when he did that!!!
I agree that trash picking dude has to go!!! When he refused to use the makeup last challenge, all I could think was L'oreal is not going to appreciate being dogged like that! Sure enough the first comment from the make up artist was something along the lines of how great the company was in reference to the environment.
I LOVE the changes they made this season. Especially giving Tim more input and an opportunity to save someone.

All those beautiful dresses that weren't in the top. Don't know names yet, but there were some gorgeous dresses that didn't get a nod. Some of the black ones were stunning and should have made it to top three and way better than the dress that won.

I suppose the black ones were nothing special but they sure showed off the diamonds the best. The rag picker guy has to go but like you guys said, they're probably keeping him for the drama.

The Russian guy is a little perverted, I think. Didn't like his dress at all. Ah well, sometimes it's all for the drama and not really the best designer. The tat lady that had a mental breakdown....her dress was beyond horrible. She should have gone home way before the one that did. Maybe her dress wasn't the best for the type of design they were looking for but it was certainly better constructed then tat lady. Her dress was a absolute disaster.

I knew about Justin's implant, just wasn't sure the what the outside piece was called and didn't want to offend anyone w/my ignorance. In any case, I laughed out loud, too!!

I agree, there were so many beautiful dresses. I didn't hate Kate's, but I wasn't sure she should've won. I do like her, though.

I also thought tattoo girl (Helen?)'s dress was a disaster. The judges can be inconsistent. Sometimes they'll kick you out for lousy construction, other times they keep you because of the design. Can never tell what they're going to do. She'd better work her butt off next time, though. They'll never let her get away w/that again.

I wonder if the judges really don't know whose dress is whose when they're coming down the runway.

I don't think it's that surprising that Timothy stayed, and I don't just mean the drama factor. Similar things have happened in past seasons. "Boring" is always worse than "bad" to the judges, because usually "bad" means that you were at least trying to be creative, had a vision, or whatever. "Boring" (and especially "off the rack" is the death knell.

I did disagree with the judges on Dom's dress, though. As soon as she picked that print, I was thinking, no, it will look too casual, like cruise wear. Then Tim Gunn made the Palm Beach reference, and even when the thing was finished, that is exactly what it looked like to me. I thought the dress was pretty, but not a red carptet look to show off those jewels.

I loved the winning dress. Helen is a hot mess.

I totally missed seeing him do that! But that's awesome, he mentioned on the 1st episode if they started to annoy him in the work room, he would just turn off his hearing device. lol

How great that he's able to unplug from the drama. I just hope he doesn't also end up isolating himself.

They're going to keep Timothy for as long as they can, I'm afraid....he's too interesting of a character to leave so soon....Helen, Helen, Helen.....you big crybaby...for sheer shitty execution..she should have gone home. I've seen them send someone home for a shitty hem!

I'm still liking the designs of Sue (who doesn't know how to thread a freaking sewing machine, but has fabulous designs), Justin, Jeremy and Bradon....and the military girl is still growing on me.....I'm not sure what to make of the Russian dude.

I think the judging is too hypcritical to be able to guess. I think it's planned that way for maximum drama.

Sometimes the elmination is because they didn't follow the rules regardless of the design. Last week Ms. Didn't Follow the Rules got a pass. On.week.one.

Sometimes "boring" gets a pass because of the designer. This week "boring" got eliminated because alternate promised better drama (IMO). On.week.two.

I love that the judges get a close-up look this year!

This has ALWAYS confused me. How can the design and know how to construct garments without knowing how to thread a machine. Every season almost there's one of those.
Plus her attitude about someone changing the thread, same person who helped her was really crappy.

I imagine that Parsons has industrial/professional sewing machines. They are different than even high-end home use sewing machines.

I hate when they have 2 or 3 people of races or ethnicities other than white and they start picking them off early on so that maybe one non white person ends up there after a few weeks. So I was sad that they ditched one of 2 women of color.

I noticed that on Master Chef, too, for example. The first 3 of 4 that got the boot were people of color. Now there is only one non white contestant left.

I've noticed that earlier on in the show that you can have design but bad construction and you may still get to say. That is because there is still "potential". Even though they say they judge on each individual episode they are taking other things into consideration. Later on they hit harder for bad construction.

I also agree with the above poster that boring is worse than bad. Especially if you don't cause drama.

The Russian guy is wierd but I liked his dress last night.

???

I thought she was an interesting contestant, but that dress was boring as hell. And ugly. And didn't fit the challenge.

She deserved to go. Boring is one thing they HATE on Project Runway!

Same here. I would hope that they wouldn't keep a bad designer just because they're not white.

That said, I wish Timothy would go home already. And also Sandro. And they can take Kate along with them-why are they giving her so much airtime?

Kate is a good designer.

Sandra is a hot mess whose taste will get him sent home. I think he's trashy and melodramatic. Bitching at the production assistants about the steamer??? Not cool, bro.

Timothy won't last, either. He reminds me of that weirdo who would lick the fabric to mark it. All schtick and no skill.

Dom is good, and I think Sue's stuff is pretty interesting.

These first couple of episodes, every season, the bottom 3 all deserve to go home that week. These people will be weeded out as the competition moves forward. They can't get rid of more than one each week, or the show would be over too quickly!

Sandro's dress was hideous. The sheer sides? Hello, major taste issues! What they knocked him for last week, they praise this week? Ugh. And yeah, what was the PA supposed to do about the steamer? He's such a jerk!

Kate is a good designer but she had her chance. I hate when they bring back old players.

Timothy only follows his philosophy when it suits him. He wanted no electricity used on his model the first week but he didn't mind using the HP tablet to do his planning this week (and maybe last week too). Shouldn't he be hand stitching by candle light?

Her dress may have been boring but at least it was fairly well constructed. They are only keeping Timothy because of his sustainability twist which as it has been pointed out, he is not even good at following (fumes from melting his fabric in episode 1). And the Russian guy? His dress sucked! Ugly and tasteless and only slightly better than last weeks monstrosity. He should not have been in the top 3. Are you kidding me??? They are just keeping him because he spices things up...so far in my opinion neither of the designers booted were actually the worst.

I think the Russian guys accent is fake. Sometimes when he is talking you don't hear it. Totally think he is poorly acting. Helen needs to go. If this weeks challenge was her forte, she needs to find a new career. I agree some of the other dresses where a lot more glamorous than what they choose for the top three.

I'm quite certain they do get their own machines. If you look you'll see they're always at the same machines (at least in past seasons). I have not yet watched this week's episode so I must be missing something. Maybe they changed it up for more drama this season.

Timothy is a total hypocrite. First he wants NO make-up on his model... but when the L'Oreal guy tells him we're "all about sustainability," Timothy just takes him at his word. Next week, the hair people will tell him "our curling irons are made from scrap metal," and he'll believe that, too.

And how did he get the velvet? It was the "end of the bolt...?" Uh, whatever material is left after someone takes some can always be called the "end of the bolt." You're reaching, Timothy. Either stick to your guns, or just shut-up and work on your design aesthetic...

Kryssy

I behold you riding with my love throughout the town,
And I bite my thumb at you.
Methinks the ducats in my purse are sorely lacking,
And I bite my thumb at you
And at her, too.
Were I but richer, I would be her suitor
Is this not a patent fact?
Though it pains me to the quick, I will salute her still
The aforementioned way: I bite my thumb.

I think the one who was sent home was because the judges heard from Tim Gunn that the best part of her design was actually his idea. Her dress was just a simple off the rack dress, nothing exciting, not a unique design at all. Sure Timothy and Helen's dresses were hideous, but they had some unique design elements that saved them. Timothy better step it up though, or he's a gonna go soon.

We think that tatoo gal was crying for the drama effect - trying to save herself. Apparently it worked! The judges were even talking about how much worse it was up close than on the runway.

Definitely think Timothy is going to be around for a while longer as this is first and foremost about creating an entertaining show around fashion. The world is FULL of clothing designers, but this program only stays on the air making money if it doesn't get boring. NOT primarily because of the great designs some contestants manage to create.

I'm struck by how little airtime many of those contestants are getting. There is a red-head gal for example, an African American man who did a pretty great design etc.

I'm certain that they have those panels of previous designers go through and pick out some good potential contestants, and then the shows producers look through the bunch to see what combo will make for an interesting season!
