So the farting thread is just hilarious. But it started back in 2005. When I want to browse a forum, there is a drop-down menu at the bottom but it only lets me look back 3 months. So I'm curious: how does a post from that long ago even get dug up at all? Not that I mind; I have seen several on here that I LOVED, and I am enjoying the one I mentioned. I would just love to be able to look back at much older threads when I'm just bored looking for excitement sometimes.

If you go to google and type in site:www.twopeasinabucket.com, and then enter your search term(s) it will pull up all sorts of stuff. Try it! (site:www.twopeasinabucket.com, turkeygate)is an example of how to search.

Hmm... so you would basically have to KNOW which thread you was searching for? For instance, whoever pulled up the thread I was referring to had to actually be looking for "twopeasinabucket.com fart" or something like that?

Well..you wouldn't get the turkeygate thread, but you WOULD get threads about turkeygate. The OP turkeygate thread was called something else.

If you bookmark a thread, you can always bring it back up by clicking on the bookmark. I think that is how most of these really old threads (turkeygate, dogs ate Baby Jesus, etc.) get pulled back to the top.

What was the original turkeygate actually about? Was that the one where the poster watched her dh prepare the whole dinner? If so, try searching for something along those lines. "husband" or maybe just "turkey" or "family dinner" or something. I'm off to try it now.

Nooo.turkeygate was when she went to get her turkey, and they were closed. So she didn't have a turkey. I think it had I HAVE NO TURKEY in it?? ha

The husband one, was something else...I think they eventually got divorced.

Gibletgate was the husband preparing the dinner. I have that thread bookmarked AND watchlist in addition to having all of it saved in text in case it gets pulled! And yes, last we heard, they were having a nasty divorce and I don't want to btt the thread because of that.

Ah okay, thanks. It's hard for me to keep the turkeys straight. I'm not sure now if I've read turkeygate since I was thinking it was the one about the dh cooking the dinner. Off to search again for the real turkeygate.

That was a poor example, but you could easily subsitute "turkeygate" with "Las Vegas", "OPI Nailpolish", "Diva Cup", etc and see related threads.

I was determined to find that thread since I brought it up, I simply googled twopeasinabucket, thanksgiving and it looks like I bumped it last year, coincidentally!

Turkey Gate Thread

From that thread, I simply searched the first line of the OP, and I came up with this:

A Thread with a screenshot of said infamous post

It's really no fun reading that thread without all the responses during it though..vs just the OP.

Isn't there a website that will pull up old threads. An Archive or something. Can't remember the name of it.
