We are in the NW corner on the Iowa/South Dakota border

We didn't even get that much of a tease. Not hardly a drop since mid June. Nearly floods before that - Huge snow in May.
Oh well - it has cooled off. Corn/Beans need rain, like yesterday, though. I hope we don't have a repeat of last year. Nearly no crops.
Magnificent hay crop this year though. No hay last year.

I'm in Central Iowa and we got a nice rain Thursday night...enough to water all of my gardens and flower containers.
Tuesday, DH and I rode RAGBRAI and the weather was incredible! This was the third time I've ridden and the weather has never been as good as it was on Tuesday.

I'm in Nebraska and we had that same thing last week. We didn't have a drop, so I decided to run to the store. I got to the main road less than a mile away and it was soaked! Water running in the gutters and everything.
On a side note, you're not too far from where I grew up!

Today could not be more beautiful.
Except we've had rain half the summer. Even some flooding. We definitely do NOT want rain in IC.

We can't buy a drop either. I'm in North Central IA. I;m not ready for the cooler temps. We had snow in May, I'm not ready for fall!
