This was my first time shopping at Walmart for the Black Friday/Brown Thursday sale. I saw that they had a carpet cleaner that my Mom wanted. I had an opportunity to do a couple of nice things that made my evening. I overheard a lady ask someone where they found the tv that was on sale. The lady said upfront but they didn't have anymore. I happened to have the last raincheck that they gave out for the tv. I told the lady that my husband had changed his mind and didn't want this afterall. I gave the certificate to her. She hugged my neck and said you don't know how much this means to me. While I was in the store I found a few things that I thought would make good gifts for children on angel trees. As I was leaving a young couple got out of the car beside mine. They offered to help me get the cleaner into my car. I asked if they would like my cart and they thanked me for it as there were none inside. We chit chatted just a minute and they said that they were there buying for their 3 children. I handed them a soccer ball and football and asked if they would put them in their car. They thanked me and I thought the lady was going to cry. She said you need this don't you and I said no, I just picked it up. It was meant to be for them. I absolutely LOVED doing this. I am thankful that I had a little extra money and could do something for someone else. I still have several other items for the angel trees and can't wait to wrap them.
|May you always have an understanding angel watching over you.

Best I could come up with today was to not get mad at the lady at starbucks who asked me if she could go in front of me because she had forgotten to order her son's drink when she ordered everyone else's. (I told her I was fine with it, but I have no idea how the eight people in line behind me felt!)

I was pregnant and waiting tables oh about 30 years ago and a couple left me 100$ tip. It was around Christmas, my DD was born Jan 6th.
I was so grateful, they were from out of town. I think of them and say a prayer for them all the time.
I've never had enough money to leave a 100$ tip but I always leave my waitress a generous tip when I eat out around the Holidays.
This one lady paid for this Mom's layaway 2 people in line from me. She could get Thank you out of her lips fast enough between tears.
RAK's are cool.
|Even with the snark, trolls and spelling police you are a great group of ladies!|

|Posted: 11/28/2013 8:09:52 PM|A volunteer firefighter friend of mine posted on facebook that he went to the firehouse tonight to watch the football game. While there someone knocked on the door. It was a grandmother with 3 small children. They gave him some pumpkin bread and said thanks for all the fire dept does. He invited them in and showed the kids the fire engines. He said by the look on the kids faces you would have thought they saw Santa.
What you did was very special. Thank you for doing this.
I love hearing stories like this.

Love it when people do special things. I'd much rather be the one who gives than be the one in need. Most people really are thankful and even though some may not realize in the moment that they are grateful those same people may realize what your giving really meant.

You were a special blessing to at least two groups of people as you were out shopping tonight. And now you've blessed countless Peas by sharing your sweet story with us.
