I caved and bought the Starbucks tumbler.

I had a $10 groupon and a $10 gift card leftover from my bday. So $50 for a drink a day sounded pretty good. Plus in January i start going in at 7am instead of 730am. Ill need caffeine that much more. Lol.

So, is that $50 a year gets you one drink a day? How does one find said tumbler?

Starbucks tumbler

Its a cool idea. It's $65 and too extravagant for me to buy for myself.
Hint, hint, hint to my family and friends!

It's a great deal... and I was going to get one. Except that it's not available in Canada. BOO! Even if you only get espresso on 20 work days, it still works out to be a great deal on espresso drinks.

hayjake, for that reason only you need to buy one for yourself. It's not extravagant, it's good monetary policy!

So they get people addicted in January and you have to by coffee the rest of the year. Assuming you already go to Starbucks everyday this is a good deal

For one, that is a cool tumbler. Secondly, if I did get a drink there every day even just on work days, it would be a great deal. But I usually just go once a week, and this would definitely get me hooked on a drink every morning!

So tempting, but so very dangerous!

If I drove past a Starbucks every day I would get this. I absolutely hate the month of January and this would improve my attitude about it.

Is there a punch card for the drink a day? Gift card? How's it tracked?

I'm tempted to get one for myself since I will be in-patient with my son for much of Jan, and there are 2 Starbucks stores in-hospital, but then it says "participating locations" -- sometimes the outlets in grocery stores or inside hospitals aren't participating with special offers. Gah.

Yah, our grocery stores and Targets don't participate. And since that's where I usually am...

It's not. There's only one code for the POS for the baristas to ring for every person who has this tumbler. So unless the partners in your SBux are paying attention and being sticklers for the 'one per day' rule, you could in theory get multiple drinks.

Yeah, the 'proudly serving' and licensed locations won't honor this. Corporate owned only.

This would not a be a good deal for *me* because I know I would never visit Starbucks daily. But if they ever did a weekly-for-a-year promotion I'd be very tempted!
