DD#2 started throwing up as soon as we got home tonight's hasn't stopped since. I'm so worried that we've unknowingly infected 4 households with germs!!! I don't think it's something she ate, as we all ate the same foods. And she didn't eat much at our third stop and nothing at the 4th (we just thought she wad full and didn't make her eat), then when we got home she started saying her stomach hurt and started throwing up. She can't even keep water down at this point, just threw up all over my bed and everything.

Ugh.

This might be a total hoax, but I read that 100% grape juice may help ward off stomach viruses. Maybe you could let people know so they can start drinking it? On the other hand I'd hate to puke up a bunch of grape juice...

I hope she's feeling better soon. Nothing in this world worse than the stomach bug.

You can't worry abt it. You didn't know. My dd has running around and eating normal as can be...until she wasn't. Just like yours, all of a sudden said her stomach hurt and that was that. We didn't catch it.

Please make sure to let everyone know so they can be prepared, and plan accordingly. If dd was feeling fine everywhere, it doesn't seem like there is anything you could have done differently. It's possible something she ate didn't agree with her, or the excitement of 4 visits was too much. Hopefully it's just that and she feels better today!

She is a little girl. Probably ate a few things that didn't bode well when all mixed in her tummy.

Unless there is a fever and/or diariah (sp), it is probably just too much different food, excitement and running to 4 different places.

My son came down with the stomach flu yesterday morning. I informed my guests and they all still came and had a great time and my son napped half of the time they were here. It seems to be a time of year that the darn flu rears it's ugly head. Ugh!

or they spread it to you. You really can't worry about such things. Let them know - 'hey just a heads up, DD seems to have picked up a stomach bug along the course of the day, just want you to be on the lookout.'

Kids get sick, you can't blame yourself, or look for others to blame.

For some, the day's food are a little rich than what they are used to eating. Hope it is just the richness of Thanksgiving.

Sorry she is sick. That is never any fun. Hopefully it runs it course quickly.

Others may or may not get sick. It happens. We are surrounded by sick people and germs all the time. It's life. No stress.

It still could be food poisoning. Children are more susceptible than adults, and it's hard to say that she ate exactly the same things as everyone else. A lot of food is improperly handled during Thanksgiving, but when people get sick we all want to call it "stomach flu" (which doesn't even exist). Top that with kids probably eating more food than they normally would, and you have a recipe for disaster. Hope she gets better quickly. Since it came on so soon after the meals, it's unlikely that it's anything that she "caught" that just "happened" to hit her right after the meals. If she's not better in a day or is running a fever, it might be worth having her checked out for food poisoning. I don't want to scare you, but some types of food poisoning can quickly be life threatening in children.

I've let everyone know. She threw up all night and a few times this morning. She feels very warm. I just gave her some Gatorade to see if she can keep that down. I just hope no one else comes down with it!

Yes, it could still be food poisoning. It's totally not uncommon for everyone to eat the same thing and only one get food poisoning. I could go into the whys, but I'm sure nobody cares. Also, usually vomiting food poisoning comes on within an hour or two of eating; diarrhea comes on 6-12 hours later.
