I have been talking to my dad about buying me a Nikon D 600 and we have been reading up on it, and wonder if anyone has compared the D600 to the D800, and is is worth the #1,000 difference? I know in this life you pay for what you get so I am thinking of course we would know the 800 would be better, but I am going to be be paying a monthly payment for this, and I want to know I am making the right decision... Thanks for any help you may have.,.. I have read several things online, but not really enough info on them I guess... Thanks again.. Jen

I think a photography class should be a requirement in all educational programs because it makes you see the world rather than just look at it.

It depends on where you are with your photography, where you plan to go with it and how soon you plan to get there.

dpreview.com has a comparision tool that lets you pick from 2 to 20 cameras and compare them point by point. That way you can see where they are different and decide if that difference is important to you.

I'm not sure if this is the Scott Kelby article that you were referring to, but this helped me make my decision (in my dreams). If I could afford to upgrade, I would be getting the D600. The D800 would not be worth it for me.
