This is my oldest son - he's 14 and has the attitude and look that goes along with that age. I just pray that we will both survive this phase and come out on the other side with maybe only a few bruises and scratches.

At least you can see his eyes. My 12-year-old has to tip his chin up pretty good to see from behind his hair (cut is coming this afternoon, but I know he won't get it short enough). And I think this is overall a good photo!

Great capture - I'm with Susan Beth - when my son was that age I was lucky to even see the eyes. Attitude came later - even still, not too bad (daughter owned ATTITUDE).

my oldest has just turned 16...and come out of it beautifully! I have two more boys, 14 & 11, but so far, they're just full on easy!

Oh very nice! I have a fourteen year old too. He's too old to monitor constantly, but if I don't he'd never look up from the electronics. Sigh.

I think my daughter was more difficult than my boys at that age. Thankfully they all outgrew that stage. It is a test for sure. I think you captured his age and attitude.
