|Posted: 11/14/2012 4:29:05 AM|And I've shot photos of my little ones 4 of the last 6 days (just got my camera last Thurs) and its only been at a park. I've chosen different arks each time.. But I'm only satisfied w the same poses/photos in different outfits for so long (and obviously that's not very long ). What are some ideas, and tips for inspiration to help me expand my horizons? I mean I love taking photos of my girls but their 2 and 10mo. So most of the photos are candids. And the sucky thing about the desert is the lack of season. So capturing the changing of the seasons is out of the question. Please help!

Action shots of your 2 year old (playing, running, etc.). Close-ups or detail shots of your children (eyelashes, hands, shoes, etc.) Look on Pinterest for inspiration - there is LOADS of it there.
When you do photograph people - set goals for your shoot, such as getting catch-lights, profiles, silhouettes, full body versus cropped, back lighting, etc.

I love photogrpahy & I have my camera with me 99.9% of the time. We live in Southern Illinois and my husband is a farmer & he loves me to photos of him farming in the field. But not only do I take pictures of the tractors going etc. If I find some wild flowers I will stop to take pictures of them. One day I took him lunch and there was some tree branches that fell into the field that needed picked up so our combine wouldn't combine it up & I was picking the branches up. The field was along a creek and the most beanutiful fall scene with leaves floating down and the sunlight gleamiing across the water. All I had was my phone but I had to take the photo.
Take a walk and take pictures of anything and everything that you see that inspires you.

I think a photography class should be a requirement in all educational programs because it makes you see the world rather than just look at it.
