I have a Canon Rebel EOS T3i and I am looking for a zoom lens for it. I am looking for something under $200 - $250. I was recording a performance my daughter was in and the lens that came with the kit could not zoom in nearly close enough. Also, I am wondering if there is a lens to where I could keep it on the camera the majority of the time, so portrait type shots if I need those and zoom photos when those are needed. If you can't tell, I am a total newb at this! 
I am also looking for a decent point and shoot camera. I don't want to spend any more than $150.00 (looking especially for a black Friday/cyber Monday deal). I want something that I can throw (not literally) in my purse and pull out for spur of the moment type photos. I am sure most of you are familiar with the T3i and know how big it is, so I want something like I described above.
Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated!  |

I'm pretty new at this too... But, I bought the Canon t3 and I have the 75-300 lens <3 it |
