Any Holiday Photo Card Picture Tips?

Hi Y'all! I will be taking my Christmas/Holiday card pic of my 2 dogs (I know, lots of shots & treats needed, no doubt, LOL) in the next few days and wondered if there were any helpful hints about getting a good photo card picture?

I will be taking the pics indoors (but I have good window light) with my Rebel. I'm definitely a "(dog) mom with a cam" with no claims of being a pro, but I'd like to send a nice photo card this year if possible.

My dogs are white (Bichon) and off white/tan (small mutt) if that matters. Both will be wearing festive doggie sweaters (one aqua, one grey/aqua)
