I was wondering if anyone has a good method of transferring photos from a PC to an ipad. I looked into drobox but the quality of the pictures were stripped. I am looking to use my ipad to make holiday cards. Quality is essential. One big set of pictures that I need to use is saved exclusively on a thumb drive thanks for your help. |

Do you have the cloud set up on your PC and on your iPad? I just copy pictures from my PC into my icloud uploads folder. They show up in my cloud on my iPad and my iPhone.

Just wanted to let you know I appreciated your answer to this question. I've been transferring my photos with my Carbonite account. I have been moving stuff from one apple device to the other with iCloud, but didn't have it on my desktop for some reason. So...now I do!
I still need to work with it a little more as I find some aspects of the cloud confusing, but ....Thank You! |

I bought an adapter that lets my iPad read SD cards. It will even read RAW files! |

I have the adapter thing too - it works very well! I like that I can do quick edits to RAW files on the iPad (I use Snapseed on there). My camera is an XTi, which uses compactflash cards ... so I use the camera's USB connection to transfer photos.
Once I understood how the Cloud works, moving photos from one place to another was a snap! Just remember that the cloud only holds your last 1,000 photos. However, the cloud photos on the PC holds all of them, not just the last 1,000. | |
