This month I am going to choose the color Red. I love the traditional colors of Christmas and how that that bright red just pops. Red can come from anything, don't limit yourself to Christmas themes.
Good luck all and hope we have a lot of peas participating. Feel free to submit multiple images.
Here are the rules copied and pasted from the November thread:
RULES: Winner of the previous color challenge will state the color for the challenge and then pick the winner. The winner will then be responsible for starting the next color, date to complete, and choose the winner-so on and so forth!
The Previous Color Challenge Winner may participate but is not eligible for winning the challenge.
All pictures must be NEW, and if you can post your settings, that is great, but don't worry about it as a requirement.
Pictures must be posted by Dec 31st. |

I took this yesterday, it's rosehips from very old roses that grow along the side of my house.

I was on vacation last week and had my camera with me a lot of the time. With the December challenge in mind I noticed a lot of red things to take photos of so here is one from the beach:
And one from the botanical garden:

I'll throw in another too.
Anyone for window shopping?
The colour is Christmassy but given the weather here, now, the item makes me shiver.
Those candy apples look so luscious, Meg ...I haven't had one of those in years but you are making me crave one right now. | |

Gardencat - that may not be Christmassy by our standards - but I'm guessing a few young men (and old for that matter) would put this at the top of their list --- provided it came on a nice curvy young lady.
BTW - Meg's candied apples do look tasty.
and Alison - great to see you posting! |

I was flipping through photos on my computer a couple of days ago while talking, over my shoulder, to my 25 year old son and as I flipped onto this one, he stopped what he had been saying and said, "wow, that's a nice bathing suit!".
Funny, they can step over some big thing on the flour without even noticing, but a red bikini on a computer screen is immediately seen. LOL

Oh my these shots are beautiful. All so different but all looking amazing.
Gardencat great job at the Botanical Garden. Those are tricky to photograph with the high sheen. What a great background those deep green leaves make.
Alison what fun pics from the Faire. Very cool.
Juen Girl, how delicious those candy apples look. Devine.
Bended road what a wonderful entry. Do you make this as a Christmas card. Love it! Nice shot of the bulb and peppermints too. Sweet.
Lots of time left to get more shots entered. Its going to be very hard to pick but don't let that stop you. Its so fun to see everyones play.

There are so many beautiful and interesting photos in here, we have such a talented group, it's fun to see the differences in how we all shoot and process.
I shot this yesterday, it's rose leaves from my Double Delight roses. If any of you ever want to plant roses, these are the ones to get. They are strong, prolific, have one of the best smells ever and are beautiful.

Welcome Jaryja and love your bright reds. Such a cute girl and horse. So glad you jumped in and submitted images. Memories, I wish I cold eat some of those cookies. I am sure they taste as good as they look. How pretty with all those sprinkle goodies. Lori, love the rose leaves. Its such a treat as Winter hits to find lovely pops of color from unsuspected places. |

Great images all. It is going to be very difficult to choose. All images need to be in by the close of 2012. Thanks for all that have submitted so far this month. Wonderful images, every single one.
Betsy love the reds you entered. Sorry if I missed commenting on any that were submitted. I have been out of town for Christmas just returning today. Its been difficult seeing them on my iphone. I'm back home and will judge on my nice big monitor. |

Such beautiful photographs for the month. Love all the reds from bight and cheery to soft and dreamy. So very hard to choose just one.
Margie, I am choosing your image with the bright red berries under the fresh fallen snow. It's cleanness and cheery brightness really caught my eye. Such a welcome delight to wake up to fresh snow blanketing the bright red berries. Congratulations and excited to see what color you choose for January. |
