I had to share because I am pretty excited about this!!
I took my little lady to get her picture taken at our bank; they have a photographer come in and then you get a free keepsake ornament because you are a customer of the bank & you can order prints as well. So I was running late (I will be late at my own funeral  ) I sat down to give his assistant our information who is also a very talented photographer. We were chatting while others before me did there pictures. The assistant and I are Facebook friends. She told me she really like one of my pictures I took of my daughter that I plan on using on our Christmas card. I feel that is pretty big compliment coming from someone as talented as she is.
I know I still have a long way to go until I am a good or even great photographer but I feel just lurking around here is helping me. I shot this picture in full Manual mode!! Which is something I haven't done or tried to do before coming on here. The photographer I was talking to said it was all about histograms too which is something I need to learn more about. But the puzzle is starting to piece itself together in my head.
My family has been asking me what to get me for Christmas and I believe I read it on here..it was a book about exposure but I just can't remember the title now. I am going to read on here the next few days and put together a wishlist of books and things for photography and give that to them. I don't needs clothes, pj's or whatnot I want knowledge
