ETA: The winner is Nicki from Bended Road Photography with her peanutbutter balls shot!

Thank You Margie for choosing my veggie picture for the November food challenge!

I know December is going to be a busy month for everyone so I want to make this challenge as easy as possible so we can have lots of entries.

The category will be "Christmas Fare"

Interpret that any way you choose. You might shoot food at parties or get togethers (probably have your camera with you anyway right) or Christmas Dinners, the every day meals you prepare for your family, snacks, christmas cookies, or maybe even the cheap meal you eat off the dollar menu because you spent all your money and time Christmas shopping! Just shoot whatever food you are eating this Christmas season.

There are no rules for the food challenge but if you can post your settings that would be great.

Congratulations Jo Ann on winning.

I will make an extra effort to photograph some food - even if it is no more than a reheated box of Stouffer's frozen chicken-something.

Jennifer, those look and sound delicious!

I made rosettes for friends and neighbors (and, for my Dad who LOVES them).

If anyone wants the recipe, I put it on my blog with lots of photos making them. ( My Reality...Really )

puppy chow is seriously chowed at this house by one 6'2" teenage boy.

Kim and Jennifer -- you're killing my diet gals!

I'd like to post the lazy woman's holiday baking ...which I never do, I've always been a 'from scratch' baking type of gal, and I'm sure that will happen soon, but in the mean time, here is a Betty Crocker or Someone-In-a-Bag mix Gingerbread Cookies - so lazy I didn't even bother to roll... shame on me!

I know, I know - you girls are in serious envy of my mad icing skills. haters-gonna-hate!

Kim, Those look good and Nicki lots of my food is box stuff. I think the cookies in the roll are better and turn out everytime i make them than when I make from scratch cookies...
I love your cookies with the icing...
Here is a couple more of some oreo balls( well they are supposed to be balls...lol) I made and it is super super easy and so good you really want to eat the whole dish... (they are sweet though) I just need to learn how to get them super pretty like the pictures online...

Thank you, Jo Anne!

Nicki, those look wonderful! If it tastes yummy, it can be boxed, doctored box or from scratch...I don't really care!

Jennifer, I may have gained 5 lbs from the pics of those oreo balls! Oh, those are a chocoholics dream dessert!

Jennifer.....wow....oh wow. I am loving those shots. The food looks amazing but the presentation of the photograph is appealing too. Did you put the "bottom" color on in PSE? I would love to know "how" to do that?

Yay! We had 12 entries this month from 5 different people. I would say that is pretty good participation for the busy Christmas season. Thank You to all who played along. Can't wait to see what the theme is for January.

And the winner is...... the peanut butter balls shot from Nicki at Bended Road Photography! Excellent job Nicki.
