Most importantly for me, is to actually finish the projects I start! LOL I always start off with great enthusiasm, then too often let that dwindle and never finish my project. But not this time... I am determined. And hopefully by posting my ideas here, I will remember that I told people I was going to do it, and that will keep me motivated

Two projects I'm going to work on to start with...

1. Capture Your 365. Great inspirational lists and will help me with my POTD blog, too.

2. Themed Storyboards. I am going to choose some themes ~ snowmen (I collect them), & flowers come to mind ~ and create photo storyboards of each theme for artwork on my walls. The possibilities are endless with this one. The theme could be anything you love from books, to toys, macros, your favorite color, vintage items, etc. etc.

Would love to hear about what projects and goals other Peas have for this year. It'll be great inspiration for all of us

You know Tracie I have to be honest, I really haven't thought about it. But I should. I need to enjoy my camera more for *me*. Maybe that will be my goal this year!

I have 1 project that I am working on. I am hoping to complete it by the end of the summer then present it to a couple of magazines.

I am also taking a course this spring on Entrepreneurship and then 1 more photo class in the fall-Portrait II.

I have to take a drawing class that is part of the degree requirement and I have been dreading it. I will probably have to do that in the fall too.

We heard from my prof that my college is introducing a certificate program for photography. I'm hoping to earn the degree and the certificate together by next year.

I thought about heading to SVA for my masters, but I think I'm kind of done with school. I just want to get out there and shoot for me and not have to worry about assignments and grades anymore.

First off I have to pull together my year in review book which I make each year. It is a bit time consuming but the end result is always worth it.

Then, I hope to take more Senior shoots (pro bono for neighborhood kids I've watched grow from diapers up) - plus next Fall my baby will be a Senior in high school, so obviously some of him. Oh Crap! hadn't had to say that out loud until now!!!

I am also booking a trip to California to visit with my sister and go to the 2014 Rose Parade (on my bucket list). We can take thousands of pictures just walking down a country lane - so the parade and going back out to California for the first time in umpteen years will supply me with literally cards of pictures.

First off I'm going to get back involved with my local photography club. I had kind of slacked off in 2012.

Next I would like to do a 52 Week Challenge of some sort--I know I can't/won't do a 365 Day Challenge.

Since my hubby and I are going to be grandparents for the very first time this year, I need to practice on shooting people. I'm going to want to take lots of pictures of that sweet baby girl when she gets here.

I also have 2-1/2 years of blog books that I need to catch up on. Lordy--when will I find the time??

First...Kerry, congratulations on the new grandbaby!!! So exciting!! When is she due?

Let's see...I don't really have anything set in stone that I want to strive for. I could maybe do a 52 week challenge, but I *know* I won't keep up with a daily challenge. hahaha. I definitely want to do something---I had a blurb book printed of my instagram photos recently, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it, so I'd really love to do one with my big camera photos.

And I know several people who are doing Project Life in some form or other, and I love the idea, but don't think I'd be able to keep up with the scrapping part. Maybe I could find a way to do a lazy girl's version of that?!

I'm hoping to upgrade my camera this year and buy a new lens. I'd also like to take more dog agility photos (with a new camera and new lens, hopefully...)

Thanks so much for sharing, everyone! Sounds like some really great goals and projects in the works. Now, I am already changing one of mine, lol... I am thinking Krisztina's 52 week project is going to be better for me than the Capture Your 365

I'm planning to try the photo a day idea. Not planning really to scrap it, or anything, just want to try to take at least one photo everyday. I hope to use mostly my SLR but in a pinch I'll go with the phone camera if I have to.

I'm hoping to post them on my blog here everyday, and also put one photo a day in the 365 gallery. I didn't decide to do this till Jan 2 so I'm already one day behind.

I'm also hoping just to expand my photo techniques. I have been shooting most things hand held, in available light, but would like to use my tripod more to expand the light situations I can work with.

Thanks packscrap3 and Tracie! We're excited for this baby girl to make her appearance around the first of May. Guess I'd better start practicing now. Wonder if Bubba the Beagle would let me wrap him up and take pictures??

Learn to use my camera, for one!

I'm not comfortable taking people pictures, but I get lots of compliments on them. DH thinks I should practice on that. Not to really do anything with it, just take pictures of friends and family.
