I am working on a list for myself as we speak.

My goal is to provide both the motivation to shoot on a regular basis and to push my creative boundaries by staying on theme each week.

Anyone interested in joining me?

I am interested! The last few months I have really struggled with my photography - I need some sort of a challange.

I am SO glad to see interest in this. I think it will be SO much more fun with a group.

I will post the challenge shortly under a new post.

Here is what I have so far ...

I will be introducing a weekly theme for each week in 2013. The theme can be interpreted in any way, as long as the photo can be tied in to the theme in some way.

I have all 52 week's themes. I have decided on the first week's theme, but the rest are in no particular order.

I am trying to decide if I should place them in a specific order ahead of time, or go with a more random method.

Also, if we will be doing a group challenge, I was considering modeling this after the other challenges that already exist on this board. In that the winner chooses the next theme. I would also like to include the use of the 'polls' feature in determining the winner in these challenges.

Any thoughts?

I'm interested but not sure I'll have the time so I'll only commit to checking you guys out. Between working full time and going to school half time any shoot time I have is spoken for as class work. This semester it is news photography and math.

I would love too, but not sure I can commit the time. I am also in school, and have some wicked tough classes over this next year. But I will be interested to see it happen, and maybe if I can here and there I will participate!

I participate in a Scavenger Hunt challenge - but will also try to join now and again. Challenges are a good way to spirit us out of a rut/slump.

We used to pack the photo gallery with challenge pictures (versus scrap booking pictures which took it over in the past year). At the time the pictures could be posted in the gallery and then linked over into a board thread; unfortunately the linking part is no longer an option on 2Peas - so when you list your challenge prompts you might want to include directions on how you want them submitted (included in the thread, or over in the gallery with a note to check them out).

Thanks for spearheading this.

I'd like to try too. I am hoping to do a picture a day, for the next year so I figure I can make one day a week, my picture for this challenge, as long as the themes are not too restrictive.

On some challenges people will post things (like "kids getting ready for school" ) which it is hard for me, with no school aged children, to fulfill so, as long the themes are capable of wide interpretation, I'm in.

Krisztina,

I think it's a great idea and would love to join in! 52 weeks sounds much more 'doable' for me than a 365 project. . .

Thanks!

I think a photography class should be a requirement in all educational programs because it makes you see the world rather than just look at it.

This is the same reason I went with a 52 week challenge. There is NO way I could keep up with a photo-a-day.

This challenge is also not meant to cause stress on me through the year. If life gets in the way, so be it. If I miss a few weeks, so be it. I can always catch up.

If you'd like to join with me but don't think you can do every week, that's fine too. Just join the weeks that you can spare the time.

Also, for those of you without any human subjects, don't worry ... there are very few weeks with a human required for the theme. In fact I can only think of one off the top of my head ... portrait. But that can be a portarit of your dog too !!

I miss taking pictures, so I'm in.

Now that I live in Minnesota, I'm sure I can find LOTS of 'models'.

Have you posted the first one yet as I didn't see one.
