My wonderful husband is almost finished with the drywall stage of finishing my photography studio/craft room. I need help with picking a paint color for the walls that will not affect my lighting. The last thing I want is to have to do color correction on every photo because I didn't do my research on colors!

If you are going to use it as a photo studio stick with a non gloss white. You'll have enough issues with color casts from lights.

If it is a craft room go wild with whatever color makes your heart sing.

I agree with Volt.

The white will also help to reflect more light in the room.

If you find white too stark for your taste, a nice neutral gray would do well too. Definately want to keep any color off those walls though.

HHCC always welcome & appreciated !!

Definitely white or a very light gray/off white. Depends what you're photographing in front of the wall, but keep in mind is you paint it orange, everything might have an orange glow to it! The lighter the color, the better the light reflection.

If you really really really want some crazy colorful walls, just be sure to invest in a large white sheet or backdrop to cover the color.

I've been searching google on a number of occasions when this subject came up... I Assumed white would be the best, but from the replies i've seen it seems to cause more trouble for controlling lighting. the best replies came from photo sites and not artists sites.... I googled "best wall color photography studio" and got my most informative answers.
