Hello new hear and have a question about a lenses. I am about to buy my first DLSR cameron probably a Canon Rebel t3i. I am wanting to get back into photography and my lil point and shoot isnt doing what I want/need. I used to use an old Canon (film) slr and loved it until it shot it last shot back in highschool (probably 9yrs ago) and when it quite that was the end of my photography because I could afford a new one. Anywho.. I am wanting to get the best bang for my buck so to speak and want to know what type of lens I should get. I am going to be doing mostly newborn and kids (friends and family are my guinea pigs) I have finally picked which camera Im getting now just cant decide on a lens. Any help would be awesome. ps thanks for listening to me ramble a bit

It depends on your budget. The 17-55 2.8 is a fabulous, versatile lens but it's expensive. The 50 1.8 is very affordable but it can be limiting.

CC always welcome Canon 7D,85 1.2, 17-55 2.8,100mm,30 1.4,Speedlite 580EXII

Around 250-300 max I am looking for a good entry one that I can use to get started with the things I want to shoot. I have done lots of photography but never with a digital slr. Thanks for any info!
