More heavily processed than I'd normally do, using high key for a more dramatic effect. Taken with 18-55mm IS. The first one is my favourite, although the composition is off, the eyes should have been lower in the frame, but I like it anyways.

Thank you very much for viewing and your comments.
Nancy, it's a good little lens. I think maybe with such heavy processing, the quality of the lens might be less important than it would with cleaner processing. |

So awesome of you to shoot your self portrait. That is something I will HAVE to do this year. It is officially on the bucket list.
You looks great. I have to admit the processing is a little too much for my taste, but I think you did a great job with these shots. |

Thank you again.
Krisztina, you should! Photographers so rarely get in front of the lens, and it does mean a lot to the people we are close to to get photos of 'us' too.
I know the editing is a subjective, personal thing. It's not my norm either.
But I found that high key is very flattering to a 50 year old woman, lol! |

This one will definitely not be to all tastes! I very very rarely use selective colouring, but it went with the effect I was going for with this one. Wanted something obviously processed, with a 40s 'glam' feel.

You are so lovely!
I think these are great, and the first one is my favorite too. Sometimes going a little outside the box is refreshing when it is so well done.
I also like the last image. The colorization doesn't bother me for this image. It has a nice vintage feel to it. |
