I currently use photoshop 7.0, but now it's not compatible with my computer. I need a new program.

Preferably one close to that one since it's taken me forever to learn. Would elements or lightroom be closer to that program? I typically use the level adjustments, make collages, whiten teeth, remove red eye, dodge and burn. Mostly the basics. Suggestions?

Elements is closer to photoshop... Lightroom is an excellent organization software that allows you to make adjustments, add metadata and print multiple photos on a page. For retouching photos, elements would be what you are looking for.

I totally agree.... Elements is going to be the most similar to what you were using and you will have only a little bit of relearning... mostly just where the buttons are moved to.
