I'm looking for some good camera suggestions. I'm hoping this is the right thread to be on. I want to ask for a camera for christmas that is fairly reasonably priced. My husband said he doesn't want to spend a lot because I'm always just using my iPhone. I feel if I had a better pixel and zoom camera I would use it more. Give me all your feedback!

What is the range for "reasonably priced?" That is a highly subjective phrase so it is impossible to make a suggestion from it.

Pixels aren't as important as people make them out to be unless you expect your work to be blown up really big. Anything at 6-8 is going to print up to an 8x10 nicely. Most smart phones these days have plenty of pixels for printing

Canon has a couple of Powershot cameras in that price range. I'm not familiar with Nikons products but I'm sure they do too.

The XS500 is or the XS510 HS would be good choices. They are larger bodies though. If you want something more compact, closer to the size of your iphone then look at the Elphs canon powershots and elphs
