Dates of Challenge: Saturday March 5 through Sunday March 13

Welcome to the Celebrate Spring Color Challenge! Spring is all about change, dormant things springing back to life and fresh opportunities for new growth. Among other things, spring means lush green grass, a kaleidoscope of colorful flowers and delicate butterflies fluttering about. Colors seem to glow, sparkle and shimmer; everything is fresh, beautiful and new, a source of joy and pleasure after a long winter.

Celebrate the coming of new life, spring and growth, by creating a sparkling, colorful layout, card, mini-book or any other item of your choice using your favorite floral, butterfly or other spring-themed stamps. Please follow the lists of "ingredients" as well as feel free to use additional products of your choice, as desired. If you lack a required item, feel free to substitute a similar product.

You will notice that I have not posted a sample. While I have ideas in mind were I doing this challenge, I want you to think outside the box and come up with your own project based on these criteria. Let your imagination blossom and take wing! Surprise me!

This challenge is open to all color mediums and design styles. You are welcome to combine this challenge with all other challenges and you may design as many Celebrate Spring Color projects as you desire.

Perfection is not required, so please don't let the details of this challenge intimidate you. Just take baby steps if need be, allow yourself to grow as an artist and celebrate spring!

LOL, Betsy! I'm so glad you are doing a challenge, but... I'm a little daunted by your 'abc's & 'advanced'.

Gotta tell ya that a 'sample' would help lots--if only so we have an idea of what 'other-than-coloring' elements you are 'requiring'.

Trust me! I'm not complaining & I'm definitely planning to do a 'something' for your challenge.

Wow! Ok. If I get out all the supplies and put them out in front of me, that will be a good start.

I like the idea of using a coloring technique that is new to me even though I may have used the coloring medium before. That opens up a whole other area of possibilities.

Thank you for this provocative challenge. I'm intrigued.

Great idea for a challenge!! Fun ingredients and ideas! I will definitely try to do this, but only in Hangover Week, because I am not at home at the moment.

I gave this a shot, hope I got all the requirements correct!
Part A: The three coloring mediums are stamping ink, Copics and I used Ranger liquid Pearls for the first time.
Part B: The wings of the butterfly are a double set which pop up from the card.
Part C: There are 8 layers, doodling, a decorative border (threading water punch) and crochet lace. my card

I thought I linked a card up here yesterday. Oh well, better late than never. I kind of like challenges that are very specific, because it helps me figure out where to start. That's why I actually did this one first, although I combined this challenge with the Background Challenge and the Use Glitter challenge.

Some of the Winterfest Challenges were just for fun and no RAK or prize was offered. I think that Betsy was one of the hostesses offering a challenge for fun, just to stretch our imaginations and to inspire us.
