I haven't been on this board for a while, but I wanted to share my sampler I made with my distress inks...I wanted to be able to look and decided what color would look good with my projects so after reading lots of posts her I decided to make tags with a sample of each color....then they were so pretty that I had to put them on a canvas so I could see them all together! Looking forward to Stampfest 2012....I am trying to take the whole weekend off of work so i can make some stamping goodness! Distress Ink Sampler

Reminds me of my Distress Ink pages in my color journal. I refer to them all the time! Enjoy your sampler! And I'm looking forward to "seeing" you at Stamptoberfest!

I'm so glad you're going to be joining us for Stamptoberfest!

Thanks for sharing your sampler. It looks wonderful; I like the way you crushed the tags a bit.

Now that the reinkers are available, I broke down and bought some of the Limited Edition colors. Your post reminds me that I have to make tags for them and add them to my ring of sample colors.

Thank you.

Pretty! I want to make a sampler also; just need to make the time.

I also want to make a grid to attach my sponges to. I read a blog (I think it was) months back where the blogger took some CS, divided up the CS into a grid the size of the sponges, colored each square with distressed ink and wrote it's name, then laminated the whole CS page. Finally she attached velcro to the laminated CS and hangs it next to her work area with her sponges attached to it. I'll see if I can find the blog...

Well I cannot find the orginal blogger, BUT now I see that many people do this grid method for storage! lol!! SO I picked one that also incorporates the Limited Colors since Daria mentioned owning them. This blogger doesn't color the grid like the original blogger I found did:

I remember seeing that post as well with the velcro...I need to do something different with my sponges as they are just in a big pile right now!

I have a piece of velcro UNDER the ink pad itself that I stick the sponge to, but then one side of the ink pad sits higher than the other side. This is not really a problem since I store them in a plastic drawer and I stacked them on one another according to color.

I love your idea! Now I'm thinking I might want to do the same except using punched shapes or something. I'll have to see what punches will work. TFS!
