If you unmounted your stamps, what did you do with the wooden blocks?

The ones that were used are very sticky on both sides, so I cannot imagine they can be used for anything else, but I have some that were never used. I am thinking of putting them all in the trash or recycling, if they are recyclable.

What did you do with the clam shell cases (if you unmounted SU)?

Thank you!

This probably is not the answer you are looking for but I burned mine in the woodburner at the shop. Kept us warm for an afternoon.

I haven't unmounted mine but at an SU stamp camp last week we made cute ornaments. Just put a screw eye on top. Wrap ribbon around, glue stamped designs on the two flat sides.

I also saw this ornament hanger on pinterest.

Check splitcoast stampers, there was a thread over there. One suggestion was making word blocks, one block for each letter to spell m, e, r, r, y or j, o, y etc.

I wouldn't throw them out. There are people that will pay shipping for them or at least recycle or have a bonfire!

It has been around 8 years since I unmounted mine but I used Undu to clean the wood blocks & was able to sell the shell cases with wood blocks on eBay for a few bucks a set.

I recycled mine. I love not having all that storage space taken up by the blocks.
