Happy Monday Morning/Afternoon!
So here's the official thread for the January Tag Swap. All info will be posted here. If you have any questions please post them here.
Requirements for this Swap
1) It has to be a rectangular tag. I think most participants have read about what we discussed for size since they can vary. But if you have a question just ask .
2) This month's theme is snowflake. It can be stamped, a sticker, a metal or clay embellishement, handrawn, etc. Just as long as your tag has a snowflake image on it somewhere.
3)You must include a description of how you made your tag when sending it to your swapper. Also, you should describe your tag when you upload it to the site.
4)Please wait to upload your tag until you know your swap mate has received it. That way they'll be surprised!
5) Have fun with this! Do whatever makes you happy and reminds you of the month of January
6)Woops, just added this one in. I almost forgot and this is super important! Your swap made should have their tag by January 5th.
Ok, so here's the list of partners for this month. I will note that I drew these out randomly since its our first swap. For any of those that will join in on the February tag swap I will do my best to make sure you get a different partner. I think that will add to the fun of it! Since we had an odd # of participants this time, I added myself twice and will send out 2 tags.

eagartoretire and I are set with addresses and briefly communicated with plans to connect again after Christmas. I have thoughts in mind for this tag and plans to complete it before the new year. |

With the whole holiday thing, some of us may be a bit pressed for time to get 'em done & mailed, but I have faith in our collective ability to 'follow thru'.
Feb & March tags should be interesting 'timewise'. Feb is a short month so we'll probably be making in a hurry 'til April!

My Jan. tag mailed yesterday. I didn't include a separate 'how-to', either. Figure I can do it once I know Pug has gotten the project. I liked the way it turned out--a bit less over-the-top than my usual. |

Leigh Ann - Your tag is going out on Wednesday. I have to admit that I always work better under a little pressure...I found out when I went back to school a few years ago that what I called procrastination was actually a "learning style"!

I received a lovely tag yesterday from Beady (actually got it out of the mailbox today, apparently I was too busy to check the mailbox yesterday). I'm not sure if she'll be able to post a photo with her bum hand, but I can photograph and upload it if necessary. It does have a product for the snow I had not even heard of before, it is very nice.
I went ahead and uploaded my tag today, since I am fairly sure beady would have received it by now.

Pug sent me a pic of the tag I made for her (TY, pal) & I uploaded it & my how-to (really did keep this one simple).
Forgot to add one thing. On the original stamp, there's a poinsettia on the hatband. I covered it with a snowflake punchout.

I shared the tag & how-to on my 'other' sites. Got nice reaction & some suggestions worth sharing here.
One poster suggested using fine glitter on the sticky areas. Good one AND reminded me... Ordinary table salt sprinkled on the adhesive adds texture & still allows the light to show thru. Also... Backing the openings with clear tape--like package tape--will work in place of the shipping label/adhesive paper. |

Daniel can you please explain more about what you mean by openings and how do the work for labels?
Backing the openings with clear tape--like package tape--will work in place of the shipping label/adhesive paper.
